I just unsubbed all three accounts because after the surprise +0.5% increase transaction tax it has become apparent that only one form of income is tolerated in Eve.

Goon passive Tech Moon income.

I know, I know, if it looks like CCP Soundwave might actually be fired then something might be done about that.

This wasn't a surprise to all of us, though a more visible, official mention would have been nice. To be honest I'm surprised it wasn't higher. One thing I don't get is how this helps goons as in order to exchange tech for isk them have to place it on the market, which means higher taxes.

Actually, you are looking for the thread where it is explained how replacing drone mineral drops with ISK bounties decreases inflation.

Not that inflation has anything to do with current developmental direction any more than "helping miners" or "risk reward" or whatever else excuse is manufactured next.

Eve always experiences a lull in online count during the summer due to people being outside or on vacation. This year that is coupled with Diablo 3 and with, yes, some people quitting over menial issues.

Nothing would be surprising to you except something negative to goons. That would cause insane whining.

That myth has been disproved so many times. Once upon a time 10k peak users for the day was considered special. Until I see days lower than that I will not subscribe to your pitifully whiny sad eve is dying complex

To be fair, it also threatened everyone else's PvP and sandbox. I'm not affiliated with Goonswarm, but I would have quit for good over that.

Look at the ten ton hammer interviews with soundwave during fanfest. Really, they were a wealth of information to help prepare form a good number of the changes which are now live. Warning was there.

And taxes are negative to everyone. Goons included, which means this should somehow have been a surprise but it wasn't. Not if you bothered to try staying informed.

Wasn't at Jita riots. Never threatened to unsub during Incarna. Just watched like I am now to see what comes next.
