This is what happens when people forget that liberty is worth infinitely more than security.

Since it's the living who shape the future, It is better to be slave and alive, rather that free but dead.

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

For all that is fun and precious to us, you play Eve! Act like it!.... Oh wait.... :P

Considering the internet is just a bunch of private connections... it cannot be controlled. Try to control it and it moves elseware.

Worst case, we go back to how it was before the internet was so easily navigable, with everyone learning stacks of IPs to manually connect to.

Pirate Bay is classic example of that tbh

Pirate Bay is a classic example of a lack of control built into 30yr old protocols. IP6 and Inet ID's are that control which promulgate from the top tear routers controlled by pseudo-governmental multi-national corporations.

Anyone here who believes the internet will not be as controlled as any large corporate intranet is fooling themselves. Ultimately, the input you have on the internet will be restricted to swiping your CC, keyboard input no longer accepted.

I blame the aging politicians. They are the reason things like this even get discussed and why weed is not legal yet. Lol

-racism is all over the place, even in eve forums if you take the time to read some threads.

-cyber crime cost billions to citizens because there's no real laws or someone to make them be applied. In some extreme cases it does but those making it are seen like old west sherifs rather than people protecting your personal rights and dignity

The fact I have an internet ID? -I have nothing to hide so what risk am I taking? -none
However, cyber criminals of all kinds for sure WILL never want this.

How much of an internet bullie/criminal someone would be knowing at any moment he can get his ass kicked to jail because he's rights stop when someone else's start? -a little bit less I think

No need to continue with more examples

So what you're saying is that human nature is much more rotten and malevolent than the gentle embrace of your loving parents led you to believe?

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

I applaud your enthusiasm. However, the reality of the situation is, it can and often is completely controlled.
