Guristas hulls with the new drone modules?

I've never looked seriously at the Gila and Rattlesnake, because they're primary drone with missiles as a secondary weapon, and I'm a missiles primary with drones as a secondary weapon.

I do have maxed drone skillz (all of them, as far as I recall, or if I'm missing one or two that'll only take 1-3 months to fix, not long in my perspective), though, and I'm thinking these new drone-damage boosting modules in LOW slots...

Am I on to something?

I shield tank, of course. Passive or active, although in my experience active works better for missions because it frees LOW slots for more BCS or - in this case - drone damage modules.

Are there any other shield-tanked drone boats I should be aware of? What about smaller hulles, like a drone frigate or detstroyer-sized drone boat? I doubt examples of the later exist, but I could be wrong.

The Ishkur could qualify too, I suppose. Don't have an awesome fit for it popping into my head, though...

and thats basically all the viable shield-tanked drone boats out there.

PS: The Rattler can project 900 dps to 100km with Cruise + Bouncers with the new drone damage mod while still maintaining 3 Rigors, a TP, 2 Omnis and enough tank to run an L4.

Already doing it and RS is the new L4 king.

Honestly, I'm not sure why you'd bother doing anything with the cruise launchers on the RS now. Way too many slots wasted if you want to make them worth a damn.

TBH I'd say that using the RS at all is a bit iffy. Navy domi (or even a normal one) will have much more DPS.

That was the conclusion i came to after buying and fitting one. I also realize I was comparing the RS with decent skills to a NH with near perfect skills. I didn't realize how much the NH's speed tank was helping me (you know, because it has a sig radius close to that of a BS and doesn't move all that much faster.)

Notice how the price of Gilas almost doubled from inferno? My Buffer/Neut Gila with 2x Drone damage mods - that now fill the slots that were so useless i was "overdriving" them. NOW HAS GANKKK. max skills push Ogre IIs close to 700dps!

looks like some basic market manipulation (and probably a good bit of increase from mineral prices). it keeps jumping up and coming down quickly. overall there has been a bit of an increase. Navy raven went from 350m to 550m, and the rattle went from 500m to 700m, same story for most of the other faction bs (although some have started to come down now)

either way meh, the rattle still isn't a great ship. I still think it should get 6 launchers, or change the special ability to something missile damage. then it would probably be one of the best mission battleships the 302 missile dps (t2 launchers, faction bcus, faction missiles) is just weak
