Best option for solo (maybe +1) WH operation

Hi there. I currently live in a c5 WH, but corps become rather.... dead, and im really not making much isk (isnt this the point of WH?)

having lived in c5 for some time now i have quite a bit of experience running with the gangs etc, but i kind of want to do something where i don't have to rely on other people so much so this doesn't happen again.

I have 3 chars, 2xtengu (higher SP chars) and an orca/fleetbooster/ covops char.

Would a C2 with a Hi sec Static and a C3 static be a good option, as ill be doing pretty much everything myself? (Logistics runs, scanning etc) This seems to me like it would make logistics awesome, ill obviously setup a large dickstar.

The main thing i am worried about is TRAFFIC. Ive never lived in a c2 or any system with a hi sec static (ive always lived 2-3 WH deep, so pretty little traffic). Would i be better off just going to a c4 w/ a c3 static or do you think as long as i keep eyes open and pay attention (i dont plan on running c2 sites anyways, just plan on farming the c3) ill be fine?

Also, i am a PvPer, have been since i started, would a c2 give me some nice solo pvp opportunities ?

Thanks for any advice.

Living in a c2 myself, I can tell you that you get A LOT of high sec traffic. People just learning how to scan to people who are looking to gank. You will have great fun since you enjoy pvp.

If you plan on running the c3 anoms, I would suggest having the Orca put your high sec to critical. That way it will make any potential threats think twice when they see a critical wh.

No trolling please

i am curently doing something similar in a C1 WH with HS static

as long as you keep the satic closed you don't get mutch trafic but still keep spamming d-scan in case some other WH spawns

if you have a toon that you can leave in a ship with a probe launcher keep 1 probe out to scan for new sigs

Living in a C2 with a HS static, I often wish this was true (bloodthirst). But tbh, we often see very little traffic. And probably half or more of what we do get is people who jump in, hold cloak for 30 seconds (presumably doing a dscan), then jump back out, never to return. Of course, your experience may differ. And I guess it depends on what you define as "a lot" of traffic.

Most of my w-space activities were along the lines you're suggesting - solo or semi-solo in C2 - C5.

With those resources (several alts) and with some w-space experience you should have little difficulty soloing and making a reasonable income (1 - 1.5b per week on average) a C3. A C3 with a lowsec static provides good emergency access to hisec, if you really need it at short notice, but does not encourage many visitors. On top of that the visitors you do get from empire space are not to much of a problem.
You get a hisec-direct WH every 5 or so days, on average (up to a couple weeks when the gods are against you), and that's usually plenty for your resupply and selling-stuff logistics.

C2? Easy enough, and very good if you want to make your isk by raiding neighbours via a static ... but the in-system income is nowhere near that of a C3. C4 and C5 is also do-able along those lines, but I kept coming back to C3s since i found the income / effort ratio to be the best for my solo efforts.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Everyday we have someone new coming in. Also, we have been in our wh for so long, there are a ton of other corps scan alts logged off in system, so we get visitors quite frequently

I'd consider a C1 without a HS static or a C3. over a C2. C2's are in high demand, and are the more common route into and out of C3-6s.
