Soloing v2 - Youtube

Soloing v2.mkv - Evefiles

Length: 23:26
Size: 421mb

Ships flown: Tornado, Drake, Thrasher, Myrmidon, Ferox, Deimos

My last video seemed to go over pretty well and it basically showcased my learning to solo from the ground up. This video is an extension of the first but, hopefully, with better piloting and mod management. I still have much to learn but I feel I have improved in many areas.

That arty Thrasher fight alone would have been worth a download twice the size.

Overall a very nice watch. The music was not entirely my cup of tea, but that is, obviously, a matter of taste. A few fights were also not quite up to par - but in some others I could imagine very well how you felt afterwards... props for including them. Hard fights that are lost due to single critical mistakes are just as entertaining to watch as cool dominance, if not more, so I enjoyed them immensely too, and most clips were perfectly fine video material, especially for non-t3-linked footage.

And, sorry, but next time, please iterate versions at least once more. The endless black screens near the end with only the ship types shown are sloppy and can be cured easily by slowing down the following clips slightly or using different music. Alternately, you can write something interesting in there.

Please make more!

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

I know there was a text only screen on the "Drake vs Small Stuff" fight, which I plan to re-encode and upload again to fix, but what other fights had it? I skimmed over the youtube footage a min ago and only saw the above mentioned clip that way or was it in the mkv version?

I am a little saddened and concerned that you appear to not have even watched your vid all the way through after rendering :S There were two instances that I was aware of this happening.

Overall it was enjoyable, The thrasher stuff was the best for me. I did like the ships that were in your first though a bit more I think Cool

Nice video man, an improvement over your last definitely in the piloting department. I think there are moments you can be more aggressive when in a 'nano' ship, just don't be afraid if the moment is right for it. Echoing that the arty thrasher fight was awesome, and so was avatar hot-drop. Keep the good attitude and looking forward to more :)

Nice video. The arty thrasher v gang stuff was especially fun to watch.

I think you could benefit a lot by spending more time gathering footage and being more selective with what you include in your video. There were some gems of fights in there, proving that you have the ability to find and record exciting, interesting footage. However the video was let down by the inclusion of things like "Tornado vs Raptor", "Arty Thrasher vs Ishkur", "Thrasher vs Rifter & Bubbles".

Keep improving and I look forward to your next vid (but don't rush it!) :)
