More audial cues ? Yes please.

Sound ? In my EVE ? Exactly.

For example, I want to know not only that "Warp drive active" but when warp has finally ended. I want to know that I'm being targeted/jammed/warp disrupted without looking at overview. Why not let me know that arch/hacking site container is done if I'm alt-tabbed ? Or to hear me (un)successfully jamming someone, that should add more fun to it. Shield/armor repping too. Lots of other cases when sound can really be beneficial. People are joking that EVE has no sound, that's because it's almost useless. Why not make it more useful ?

And option of max sound distance too. I want to hear sounds even if I'm looking at my ship (bracket) from 200km.

Please discuss and add more examples of sounds you'd like to hear in game.

Add audio cues we need, delete those we don't.

Our neighbors don't need to hear the bass of 1000 sebos.

Or just lots of checkboxes in options. Don't want to hear them ? Ok, just uncheck them.

Best part of it is that it's really easy to implement, a low hanging fruit of development, while being a great boon to every player. We really need more sounds.

that it sounds when you are -75% shield is a little late
why not when you are locked but have lockback set to 0?
why not when your shields are below 100%

I would like more control over the audio too
would be nice if the game would keep a sound history and let me replace them or change the default volume for that specific occurrence

i.e.
sound history
warp drive active
warp tunnel effect
jumpgate firing
jumpgate transmission (the wierd telephone whoosh sound after the gate snap sound)
gate chatter on landing
warp drive active

then i click jumpgate transmission and set sound to 0%
then i click gate chatter and set that to 0%

and never hear those again

You do know you can actually adjust your hp alarms, correct? Set the shields to 99% and get the alarm anytime you get shot at.

Usually it's not enough. If you're being shot at in a big fight then you're already dead, you need to push that "broadcast for ...." button when you see yellowboxes or logistics will have no time to lock you too. So it's not a substitute for "they're locking me" sound. Well, maybe in small gangs but then you have less stuff to look at anyway.

I'd like to have more Aura voice cues for things like; 'shields low', 'armour low', 'structure damage critical', 'warp drive disrupted' etc, as opposed to bleeps and blorps. You could even set it up so that people can assign their own mp3's for each sound in the game Smile
