First, your answers are flawed.. Just because I approve of it, doesn't mean I think it's better than something I can use to make cinnamon toast :)

Second, people that dislike something generally come to the forums to vent and rage, and something even offer constructive critiques.. People that like it, don't..

Anyway, I posted my suggestions in the other thread.. this is an improvement for I think most people, but still has some issues that need to be addressed, and obviously has some serious issues with some people who deal with POS's and the like, which also need to be addressed.

Sorry to rain on parade but the 5 threads saying we like it, and the bazillion (yes I did make that large number up) threads against it should answer your question.

Yes: Thanks CCP, this new inventory system is the best thing since sliced bread.

As a new user that faught with the original for two weeks I love the new one. MASIVE IMPROVIEMENT

I'd like to ask this ccp alt, what exactly was giving you troubles with the old system? i have not gotten any answer to my question :" what needed to be fixed in the old system" or " what exactly was wrong with the old system?"

Also, buy 40 T1 frigs, 100 cheap mods for those frigs, buy some containers, get acces to corp hangars - THEN let us know what system was faster when you needed to swap ships fast and select specific mods from those containers -> every differend ship now requires me to go through list of junk...

YES we all know the current system is "easy" to use in a station when you have little to no items, the problem starts when you the system gets flooded with items because you are having acces to alot of things, and have been playing/collecting stuff for a long time.
And then i'm not even talking about the bugs that appear when you are outside the station - try a pos... or looting/salvaging missions with over 50 wrecks ;)

I'll be waiting for your answer on what was giving you troubles on the old system which is now easier. Then compare your little improvement to the huge list of issues everyone else is having.

So in your opinion they should never move forward with the game, ever?

If it aint broke never improve it?

Man EVE players sound like Internet Ahmish...
Ive never played a game where ppl ***** SO LOUDLY at IMPROVEMENTS

and ask for the game to be made LESS NEW

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

so you mean, we should have multiple systems, improving the current system because it didn't improve the old system?

I like the features, i hate the implementation, my suggestion:

1- rollback the inventory
2- integrate the new system into the asset window

you now have no issues with cargohold, storage, quick acces + if you need to find stuff between large amounts of items or cargocontainers, you click the button-assets- and find what you need using the new search options

I wonder though, what was the exact issue with the old system that you see fixed with this system? IF your issue was inside a station -> read my suggestion again. If you had issues outside the station then i have to ask what you where doing... because you could make all cargocontainers stack on top of eachother giving you a horizontal system instead of the now vertical system.

I await your response with your issues with the old system vs solution the new system offers.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Listen carefully knucklehead, or in your case, imagine pretty little pictures in that small head of yours......

There was nothing wrong with the previous inventory, and because it wasn't shiny and new, doesn't mean they had to get rid of it or break it.

Yes, I like the new system - While recognizing that there are real issues for people dealing with lots of clutter - which incidentally CCP has acknowledged, and are working to resolve while sourcing for opinions from the playerbase. Which they could have done much earlier, yes.

Also confirming that having a singular point of view that happens to align with CCPs makes me a fanboi who thinks CCP's the amazing peanut butter/grape jelly to go with aforementioned bread.

Overall it's a decent change, but for the most part it needs tweaking. Such as the loot windows resetting to the cargo hold window everytime one closes.

Yes, provided that they fix the problems that Tippia pointed out all of ten years prior to the patch, and that the search box stop sucking.

All the people that think there was nothing Wrong with the previous way are simply wrong.
Did it FUNCTION ? Yes. But there was lots wrong with it.. Having to have multiple windows open just to move stuff around is a pain in the ass. Running an Orca with have the screen covered in Ore Hold, Cargo, Corp, maybe Maintenance, Maybe a few cans... just a pain..

Simple thing, they aren't gonna roll back. It's not gonna happen.
So start posting suggesting on how to improve the new system, beyond make it the old system..

Hell the new system as it stands works almost the same as every OS does for File management.. It's not flawed, it's that way for a reason, it works, and it's not that complex.. Once they fix some of the bugs, and iron out a few issues, it'll be great.

And if you can't adapt, then you can just get left behind. Cause it works fine for me, and all my alts.. And most people I've talked too in game..Everyone agrees there are some changes that needs to be made, but raging doesn't help CCP identify the SPECIFIC problems you have..
In fact most of the people don't have specific problems.. they are raging cause it's a change, and change is bad.. and those people are doing their best drown out everyone who likes the new system, has improvements for the new system, and even those who have serious issues with the new system.. drowning out everyone who says anything other than it needs to be reverted.

You wonder why these issues made it to live.. I saw the threads when it was on SiSi.. it was 5 people bringing up issues, and 150 screaming about how it will be the end of eve and they will quit the game if it goes live and how the new inventory system eats babies..

-"So start posting suggesting on how to improve the new system, beyond make it the old system.."
? roll-back prior to ' Vanilla Ice Expansion'

-"Hell the new system as it stands works almost the same as every OS does for File management.. It's not flawed, it's that way for a reason, it works, and it's not that complex.. Once they fix some of the bugs, and iron out a few issues, it'll be great."
? Noone wants to play 'eVe-The OS Game'. True that system is good for an OS, and it's that way because it's for an OS and file management. The 'bug' seems to be, a dev thinks that eVe is an OS, do u think eVe is an OS?

-".. they are raging cause it's a change, and change is bad.."
? Change has two sides, this change is bad. And trying to make an argument that people don't like it, is because they just don't like change, is obsurd and a poor argument on your part.

-".. I saw the threads when it was on SiSi.. it was 5 people bringing up issues, and 150 screaming about how it will be the end of eve and they will quit the game if it goes live and how the new inventory system eats babies."
? so u admit it was mentioned during testing and that test feedback was ignored? Then why are we wasting time to help test, if ccp is just going to ignore the feedback and release crap?
