CONCORD is useless

Getting really tired of doing missions and going for salvage and having ***hats warp in to swipe everything. Not sure what's going on, if it's a result from the patch, but it used to be you got kill rights if someone stole a cargo from one of your wrecks. Apparently that's no longer the case.

And before the sand-box-queens chime in: Save it. I get the whole "It's a sandbox" thing. Roll
But it's not a sandbox. Not really. If it's a true sand box there would be no rules. If there's no rules, then let me put a bullet in the ***-hat's face for stealing my s**t.
Or have concord do something useful besides lagging the gates in their polished ships.

Let us kill anyone who steals our wrecks/cargo/ore/whatever, or have CONCORD get off their ***es and pop the d**k's.
High-Sec is a joke. Apparently with INFERNO, anyone can steal from you but if you respond, *YOU* get killed by CONCORD.

So high-sec is a place where people steal from you without fear. Again, save the "sandbox" crap. In real life I get to shoot criminals.
NullSec/LowSec, well, at least THERE you can shoot people without having concord get all pissy about you killing a criminal, just people with less than a year or two stand no chance there.

So thanks EVE: You're either an old hand and immune from getting CONCORDED, or just someone who has their **** stolen all the time. WTF, over?

Concord provides consequences not protection.

Someone is mad about internet space loot.
Kill-rights if suicided.
15 min aggression timer if you stole loot.

No-one ever got kill rights from taking stuff from inside a wreck, only for killing a players ship if they are not agressed already/ below -5. They generally flash red if they take items from inside the wreck [and it belongs to a wreck of an npc that they havn't killed]. The salvage used for making rigs as you already know belongs to anyone [first come, first served].

You could always delcare war on their corp and get revenge/suicide gank them etc.

Sanshas Nation have invaded all the doughnut shops, Concord are too busy protecting their lifeblood to worry about immortals being immoral.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

CONCORD is actually pretty useful if you want to lower your sec status.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

I've had people get aggression timers against me for taking a wreck in a belt. People leave them there all the time.

In fact, it's become quite the noob-hunting sport in high-sec space: Kill a rat, leave the wreck, and when someone says "Hey, can I salvage that?" you say "Sure" then kill them when you get the 15mins of kill-rights.

You can do this already, except for salvaging.

Come to my system sometime: People tag behind us on missions all the time and take our salvage (which has always been legal) and the wreck cargo (which used to allow us to shoot them, but now does not).

Kill rights no but if they steal from a wreck / cargo container and not just salvage it then you will be able to shoot at them for 15 minutes. If this wasnt the case then id suggest you file a bug report as it is a issue with inferno.

Dunno. Have you tried shooting these asshats "stealing" your wrecks? If you did, you'd know about the consequences.

Quite. Except salvaging doesn't invoke aggression, looting the wreck does.

You should probably join Eve University or some other noob training Corp as your understanding of game mechanics is sorely lacking. Additionally, might I suggest doing your carebearing in one of the hundreds of other systems that aren't frequented by ninja salvagers?

Sure there are, you're just ignorant of them or being intentionally obtuse. I'm still on the fence.

CONCORD is a preventive force, not a protective one. Much like all police forces.

It would also take being in a player corp. And for the little pricks to be in a player corp as well. Or can we now go hostile with NPC corps. (I'm still kinda new)

You have that completely arse about face, salvaging a wreck does not trigger an aggression timer, looting a wreck does.

The salvage isn't yours until it's in your cargobay, the loot however is.

If you really really dislike the ninja looters then you have a few choices,

  • if they're showing red in the overview, shoot at them, just be prepared to lose your ship when they come back in something nasty and fitted for PVP
  • you can pop the wrecks just as they get to them
  • trigger the next NPC wave and leave, letting the ninja deal with them
  • abandon your wrecks, most don't like this, they're not actually after your loot, they're after kill rights on you for killing their looting frigate, see point 1 for an example of what not to do if you fancy keeping your ship.
  • if you're capable of tanking the whole room leave any scramming NPCs for last, hopefully they latch onto the ninjas and scram them, you can then offer to kill the scramming NPC for the contents of the ninja's cargo, or the value of their implants/ship, I've done this, reverse ransoms are fun

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
