Unified EVE: easter egg? or worse?

So yesterday I'm poking around in the EVE settings, as I do every time there's a large patch. This time, I'm hoping that there's some hidden setting that disables the new inventory system. My hope is in vain, but I notice there's an new entry in prefs.ini like this:

unifiedComms=0

Nothing about that in the client's UI, so I figure what the heck? I switch the flag to 1 and restart my client.

You know all the odd chat window bugs lately? Your own messages not appearing to you, people who are offline appearing in local, etc? Well, I found out what CCP's up to. Behold the terrifying future of EVE: Unified Chat

Though it may explain why the chat windows got messed up. CCP has been tinkering with chat window code...

That sir is a photoshop you should set your window transperancy to none and also delete the meta information on the picture.

Like it especially if it comes with a bug so that local will not actualize or is delayed.....just kidding, but the use of the local channel as intel tool should really be replaced
