I guess this deserves a mention here. A corp theft. The Original Post is in general. Does the OP have any options?

EvE has a great dark element to it...Betrayal, learn a password or a few words in confidence. Use it all to your advantage and savor in that sweet moment when you punk em..Hopefully they read your message on your way out...."YEEEHAAWWWW!"
Its that sweet freakshow thats EvE..explore just how bloody you can get in this wonderful fictional universe.

Where do you draw the line? Is there a line?
Recently a player took advantage of a deaf player that was recovering from surgery ...He took him into his confidence and helped him along for awhile...I wonder if he was thinking "Oh I"m going to freakin burn this deaf ******" .... He must have, because thats what he did. Took every item the deaf guy had saved for months...

Theres always one snivvely kid out there that takes it too far...

I dont blame the game, because this kid isnt playing the game. He stepped out of the game and made it something else. Ugly by anyones standards.

I dont want to mention this kids name... Master Shawn... as that probably would not be appropriate. *Master Shawn, currently docked in Dodixie* I just wanted to bring this event to light and to vent some frustration..FOR that I thank you very much.
*Master Shawn.

Thanks all and enjoy the new inventory :P

This is Eve. From the screen everybody is the same. There are no stickers you hang from your high-slots to designate a special case player because we are all equal in New Eden. What I read above, once you remove the 'special case', is just another player that got scammed.

This message brought to you by Experience(tm). When common sense fails you, experience will come to the rescue. Experience(tm) from the makers of CONCORD.

Ya exactly....I tried to portray this as an event that was just exceptionally low. I ventilated about it in the forums ...I didnt realize that alot of folks must do this hehe. I was fresh from just getting punk'd and posted without spending much time to think first. My loss isnt any more "important" than anyone elses and I hope that this thread dies off.
If you read my OP, I was trying to inject some humour into it even when I was all peeved off...I didnt intend for it to spin off into anything more.

I concur with what most everyone else has already said here. There is no consideration given to who you are on out-of-game. You can be a multi-billion dollar mogul or a quadriplegic that has to operate your computer with eye movement and sipping air through a straw. You're going to be treated the same. When you play this game you should come into it with no sense of entitlement. Your character is who you are here, and nothing else matters. Eve is harsh and unforgiving. It's those two qualities that make it great and stand alone in the MMO world.

Granted, there are some who inject their RL morals into their playstyle, but that should be seen as the extreme exception and not the rule.

To be fair, he probably would have robbed the guy anyway, deaf or not. I don't see any reason to believe he did it solely because the guy was deaf.

As a professional corporate thief, I would personally avoid robbing a deaf guy. Not because I feel bad for him or anything... but because their other senses are heightened due to being deaf. What if the mark smells my cologne while I'm pilfering his hangars?

There's no evidence that this is at all true. Just rob him.

I once scammed a blind kid playing eve, telling him to do a mission with me in his deadspace fitted tengu.
I then blew him out of the sky and he didnt even see it coming!
Then on TS he called me a bad name.
So i went to his house and bitchslapped him, he didnt see that coming either.
Thats what you get when smacktalking people.
