During Fanfest there was a mention of changes to the gaining of Security Status.

Mainly the possibility of trading in Tags either earned or purchased from the Market for a set security status increase Big smile.

However....So far I have yet to hear any more regarding this, so was this an idea not put in to action? or will it arrive with the changes to Sec drops I.E max -2.0 for ship kills?

Currently the only changes made have the shoot a Rat and it counts rather than the final blow but i feel that there should be some more drastic changes to how to gain this as it is as many of you know....... Tedious.

Thanks in advance.

You do know that you have been able to trade in tags to Datacenters quite awhile now already to improve Sec status, correct?

I think you are getting confused with "Faction Standing" & "Security Status"

Tags for sec status gains? So you want to be able to just buy some tags and instantly fix your sec status? Why not just skip the tag part and allow us to buy sec status directly with ISK or sell it for cash? That way you can just appease your lust for pod kills by using daddy's credit card to clean up the mess afterwards.

The point is the grinding is unneccesarilly difficult and long - The CCP key note stated that people would still be aiming for the Tags or using the hard earned isk to buy it off the market.

Not my words CCP's and it seemed to meet a good reception - My question was have you heard about it not that i dont mind doing it as i have ratted my sec status up more than once.

Only because most of the people that goto fanfest are really there for the opportunity to perform fellatio on a CCP employee.

There you have the link.

And ETA for Crimewatch 2.0 is "later this year". Some rumors say end-of-summer at the earliest.

Opps yep I stand corrected

Out of curiosity does ratting Sansha in Incursion asteroid fields still give good sec status boosts or was that nerfed too?
