Thanks for the AFK cloaking buff, CCP!

Before Inferno:

To disrupt all PvE activity in a 0.0 system, I had to go there in a ship that had a cloak. This had to be a ship that looked dangerous enough to scare people, and I needed to let myself be spotted first to really frighten people. Then I needed to cloak up and let Eve run in the background. This means I could only do it with one of my characters, and my computer wouldn't be able to run other games really well while I am AFK (my computer is good, but not quite that good).

After Inferno:

I don't even need a cloak anymore! I can just fly right in, warp to a safe spot, and log out! Even better, I can do this with all 3 characters on my account. Since it doesn't require having the client up anymore, I can also go play something else while the carebears huddle in station for safety. Once I'm bored of that other game, I can log on and gank me some bears. This is awesome!

I know we were all asking for delayed local, or removal or local, or some other kind of nerf to AFK cloaking, but a crazy buff works too. It just goes to show how awesome and innovative CCP is. They took player suggestions, implemented the complete opposite, and achieved the results players wanted all along.

Fixed? There was another thread confirming it still works.

I'm not being sarcastic, by the way. I would love for local to remain this way. Other channels... not so much. But local? Hell yes.

Yup this: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=111990&find=unread

I'd also like to point out that all they had to do was add you to watch list and they'd know you weren't really there.

I wasn't going to be the one to tell them that... Oh well, back to our regularly scheduled program of "the new inventory sucks".

Maybe I can figure out a way to post a sarcastic-sounding thread about that one, too.
