Tracking disruptors + their drone counterpart

As the title states I was curious if the tracking disruptor drones will recieve the same turret and missile penelty that the ship fitted module recieves?

It seems slightly strange that the ship based module is able to effect both turrets and missiles yet the drones only effect turrets? Or is it possible that their is a description bug and the other effects are not displayed?

On another note is anyone able to tell me the stacking penelty of using 4 med tracking disruptor drones would be? or is there a stacking penelty?

Sounds like an oversight due to the fact that no one uses TD drones in the first place. And the reason being that EWAR drones suffer from stacking penalties in addition to mediocre EWAR stats to begin with.

TD and SD drones in particular are useless since they act as "unscripted" TD/SD. A real TD/SD mod will always out-perform them even if the stacking penalty wasn't already gimping them.

It may be an oversight on CCP's part. File a petition or bug report. It's rather inconsequential, though.

considering the glacial pace of ship changes, this kind of a fix for module consistency sake won't come til 2020 Lol

right well then good to know. I had been mostly looking for an alternate to ecm drones in my sleiph to gain some survivbility. the constant ecm drones in everything is getting rather old and it would be nice to have drones that are a tracking disruptor of a ship with so limited mid slot .

Unfortunately TD drones are not what you're looking for... especially with how big the Sleip is, the only thing that would ever care about being TD'd would be a battleship at point blank (and, when do those happen?).

5 large TD drones are very effective against turrent BS's...even when you yourself are in a turret BS. People who say otherwise are obviously not using them. However, medium and small TD drones are pretty useless.

Ideally, in a AHAC gang, your Ishtars could pack TD drones. Or, one or two could, and dump them on a turret BS to squash it's tracking. Not that it's easy to track a proper AHAC gang anyway., but TD drones would make it horrifying.
