if i open a cargo container floating in space, it opens in the same window as my ship's cargobay....but what if i want to move just a few items from one to the other? it's much faster to just drag them straight from one window to the other than the new system...

You can, but you CANNOT hold it for the next time with the new system.
That feature is GONE.

just shift click or ctrl click the specific items you want to move, then drag them over to the tree and drop it on your ship name. done.

So close...

The new 'Process" I must go through just to take stuff from my Cargo into the station hanger (after first finding the right cargo container in the Tree scroll, then again scrolling using that TINY slider and finding the station items hanger button) then moving the crap and going through tihis procedure EVERY SINGLE TIME. Takes a good almost 60 seconds to get everything done when it used to be just instantaneous and ALL the windows I needed opened were opened and ready.

He asked how you move specific items from a floating cargo container to the ship. It works the same way every time, I don't need to see what's in my cargohold to loot containers, but I suppose if I wanted to move items back and forth (lets pretend I'm full and want an item off a wreck that's worth more than my 100 ammo i pick up), then I would merely click on my ship, then shift/ctrl click the items i want to leave in the cargo container, drag them to the tree where it says cargo/wreck or whatever, then click on cargo and then shift/ctrl click and drag what I want to my ship name. It's really simple.

I'm not going to say anything about people who have cap ships or pos modules or whatever, I really don't know what hell they are going through.

Apparently if you move a large collection of items from one window to another, the game recalculates total isk value for each individual item. Had someone in chat complaining about it taking about 15 minutes for everything to move over.

Progress, right? Don't you just love progress?

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Really...10 whole times? At best it's 2. Shift/Ctrl clicks were always a part of it if you wanted to cherry-pick items from a container and move them elsewhere.

Troll. I knew you could in no way defend the 4 lines of Text thing.

Anyway....having a BLAST playing Civ 5 on my other monitor atm. New Expansion on June 12 on top of it all. 9 new World Leaders. New Religion Mechanic added with choice of 10 religions for game play.

And not a cargo container or Tree in sight.

... CCP shines in their absence about this whole thing...

Yes, lets play the "STFU and it may go away" - game

I have not been this disappointed in CCP since that Space-Pants debacle.

That's easy enough, I was being verbose. I even used words like "or whatever". I clearly pointed out where you needed to drop the items and how to move from containers. Would you like an explanation on the old way? First, pin your windows where you would like them where it is convenient for you. Then, shift/ctrl click the items you wish to move and then drag over to your ship's cargo window. Then, shift/ctrl click the items you wish to move out of your ship and drag them over to the wreck/cargo window. Done.

So close...

There are some excellent gfx in Civ5, and unlike EVE it will make full use of whatever GPU power you can throw at it. But the gameplay is awful. The main flaw is the "one-unit-per-tile" restriction, and it has also regressed such that the easiest way to win on any level of difficulty is infinite city spawn: Plant as many cities as possible and don't bother developing them = win.

So a lot of us have gone back to Civ4, which has the best game play of the series. Civ4 is also the version where players were not only asked about what they wanted in the game, but some of them were even taken on board and paid to test it, ftw.
