Make the neocom more customizable. Wasn't that the whole point of forcing it on us?

Individual button blink settings.

Choose if minimised windows stack or make seperate buttons.

Select if we even want a button at all for an open window. Cargo hold for example. I know its open, I'm looking at it right now, I don't need a button added to the neocom to tell me that the window I'm looking at is in fact open.

Channel count on minimised chat buttons.

Option to disable the poorly rendered small portraits and replace with a simple character button. Option to disable the inaccurate skill timer bar.

Options.

Two questions.
New inventory UI - please refer to ongoing threads.

Second, more general - is there, was there at all, a basic concept of UI ? Any consistency ? Or, everything every time is done fresh, by a different people and seemingly at a spare time ?

Example - PI blueprints installment window. Most windows in EVE can be sized, those ones can't. You need to scroll them every time. All windows can be moved, go behind others - but PI control panel can't. Every time I need it, I must close lots of UI at a left side, use PI, then reopen UI. What sacred meaning is hidden there ?

I second the importance of your attention to the new improvedbroken inventory window. Please look through the threads here:

One - Two - Three

The CSM speaks much about communication, yet there has been no substantial reply to this topic in any of these threads, or to my knowledge anywhere else. CCP speaks about listening to players feedback (again), but all feedback is either ignored, or met with "you're doing it wrong, we know what the customer needs" or "will be patched at an indefinite time later" (again).

This will end up being Incarna 2.0 if the CSM doesn't get involved.

Why oh why oh WHY can my chat windows not remeber the order they're stacked in when I log off?

Having to re-sort them whenever I log on is getting old...

General.
Fixes / Improvements :

  • More customizable Neocom.

Feature requests :

  • Something new to replace local as an intel source.

Space.
Fixes / Improvements :

  • Fix the overview filtering on state, we need to be able to save a wartarget only overview etc.
  • Separate the coloring on overview state and/or appearance so we can work something like friendlies with bounties, neutral wartargets, hostile wartargets.
  • Redo the overview, this spreadsheet online thing has been going on for too long.
  • Overview, Selected Object, Locked Targets, Watchlist should be using the same single panel of representation, not four (or more if you count the locked target icons separately). This was not a user centric approach, this was a shortcut. If no devs in CCP is able to design something that doesn't involve slapping a new user presentation window for every information, hire someone who can (no offense intended for the current UI devs, you guys are doing a great job).
  • Fix or improve the D-scan interface. For the love of God.
  • HUD is too big and is unscalable, the recent addition of debuff icons (ewar and jamming icons) displayed on the top of the HUD doesn't help with the case. This is particularly a problem for people with smaller screen resolution/sizes.
  • Overall UI improvements in space doesn't need to be "pretty" if it doesn't address the primary issue, that is everything (overview, selection, locked targets, watchlist, fleet, broadcast, drones, inventory) as it is now is taking up soo much space in our screen, players basically can't enjoy all the other improvements (ship V3s, pretty nebulas, new ship models) while we're flying in space.

Feature requests :

  • Trajectory line display of your ship when turning on your tactical overlay.

Station/Docked.
Fixes / Improvements :

  • Station services and guest list can and/or can be made more compact and be more like a part of the station and not the player/capsuleer nor their ships, since it displays the information of a place where our ship is currently at, not the player itself.

Well, it's a minor issue, but has got all the ingredients to become a scandal. No assessment on what players do, no feedback duiring development, a late hands-on trial with blatant errors, rushing toward release with most of the blatant issues unfixed, and now goes live and becomes a PITA that makes the old system look sensibe and usable (which it wasn't).

And it's CCP's fault: they hired two new guys to do the job and guess what, they were told to make a new inventory sytem without having an effing clue on what players did with the old one, and so here we are with a dubiously functional and partially broken system that no EVE player would have designed himself.

And this in a game whose player base's rage is measured from seismic stations arund the globe. Lol

For fleet bonuses: I know that there's the little green check thingy that says you're receiving bonuses, but there's no telling WHAT bonuses you're receiving. Could this be looked at? Knowing that I'm receiving skirmish bonuses or armored warfare bonuses would be nice.

The interaction of the new UI and life in a POS is a little unfortunate. We could really use the ability to name silos and SMAs and CHAs and stuff. Big props for the loading indicator though. It cuts down on the OHNOES WE HAVE BEEN ROBBED by 500%.

Devs are already working on allowing all POS structures to be renamed.

All of them.

Allow us to shorten the Names of objects like stations.

Basically, turn it into

8.18: Spacelane Patrol....

instead of

Planet VIII Moon 18 Spacelane Patrol...

Means i don't have to cover my screen with my overview, set a tiny font, or buy a 50 inch tv and sit half a meter from it.

It would be pretty nifty if the left/right arrow keys (or custom keybind) allowed me to cycle through locked targets. I'm ridiculously bad at pointing and clicking.

Excellent. Next up: opening CHAs and using the search function across multiple tabs is a nightmare. I really want the ability to open CHAs from space instead of having to hunt through my inventory for it. Any and all of the following would make life better:

- Clicking the "open" button when a CHA is selected brings you to the same division you had open when you last opened anything with corp divisions.

- Being able to filter the tree so I can see exactly what I'm looking for in the tree at any given time and no more. A search function for a certain item is a decent workaround when at a POS, but if I only want to see the hangars of friendly ships, for example, it's less helpful.

- Retain the entry in the search bar when you switch hangar divisions. If something has been misplaced or I don't know where it is to begin with, having to re-enter "civilian miner" every time I look in a different tab is a step down from what it used to be.

Minor, but annoying. Stack splitting sucks

Simple solution, for anyone who doesn't want to click through: Replace the one prompt ("How big of a stack do you want") with a prompt for two numbers ("How big a stack do you want, how many stacks of that size do you want

Unified Inventory removed the current ship from the Ships tab in stations. I'd really like to know WHY. Does it provide some sort of optimization?! The problem is if someone has two or more same ships with different fits (and most of us have) he was relying on ship names to see what ship he sits in. Now I need to open Fitting panel to figure that out. I've expected the UI team to know one of the fundamental principles of UI design: keep similar things together. CCP's inability to understand simple things and strategy of implementing random decisions is really irritating BTW.

Secondly, will you be so nice and remove THE FUСКING CORPORATION ICON from my Neocom?

was directed here. I'll be making some fancy after effects oh how I wish we could see the eve UI. If any CSM member messages me with any requests I will create a proper and professional presentation of any other suggestions you would want to show off to CCP.
