EVE General Discussion

When scanning through the Devblogs I happened upon something that should make us all worry. It could actually be a game breaker......we've had The UI Ultimatum, The FW Supremacy and the Research Sanction. What is this latest BS issue I hear no one ask, well we must turn our attentions to the CCPGIB's agenda... or The Geeks In Black (CCP) agenda to give it it's full name. (see devblog image for illustrative purposes)

Guys I hate to have to tell you, you know those stories about black being slimming and it hiding food stains. Thats is like so wrong. Now because most IT geeks end up looking like teletubbies and are generally not the most couth of people when it comes to eating. They are in fact making a mistake by wearing a "colour" that is not fit for purpose.

Once you accept that there is no colour that will give you street cred, you may as well bite the bullet and let your moms start dressing you again. Moms don't always know best, but when it comes to the dress sense of IT geeks, they do I'm afraid. Besides, wearing something other than black, might and i say MIGHT make you a bit more attractive to members of the opposite sex. As an aside here, wearing bright colours does not make you gay, that story is spread by the NON-IT crowd who wear bright colours and get lots of sex. Of course you also have to overcome all the other disadvantages of being an IT geek, but those are a subject for David Attenborough and a Multi-hours length BBC wildlife program not for a short EVE forum post.

I do see that the two brave non conformists, have either been blocked from view, or hidden at the back. Will not be making any comments on them getting any, their life would probably be hell in the office if i did (sound of evil laughter)

I was tempted to give Trinny and Susannah a ring, a pair of British fashionistas who help people with style issues (a pair of snotty fashion PITA's) but unless Iceland is on the posh part of the London underground map, thats probably a no go.

One thing to note. If you are wearing black/red tie on black shirt with white decoration. Or a black tie on a white shirt. Never and I mean NEVER have a still picture taken with your right hand in the air. it so sends the wrong message.

Anyway. hopefully this will have gone some way to resolving the most pressing issue in EVE online.

BTW no we do not want to hear stories of CCP geeks walking round the offices with black t-shirts with the letters GIB on them. Don't even think about it!

You actually expected a post to have a point? points to sign on the door that says "you are now entering an EVE online forum"

We did expect point, most people here have a point, some have sharpened thiers quite a bit, Others have taken thier blunt ones even and stabbed somone to death with them.

You however are lacking so much of a point its almost enough for a thread lock at least or a move to OOPE.

Actually I was beginning to think WTF. After writing a bit of sarcastic nonsense while waiting for the builder I got accused of being a rascist. (just for the record, mg gf at uni was from the Carribean and yes the the rl Tallis is a girl. I am a two'fer as the Politically correct brigade say)

I sometimes wonder if some people in here realise it is 2012 and they are sitting in front of a PC, not actually flying a real space ship.

Anyway, for future reference, if you get all bent out of shape about this post, Take a deep breath, relax, say what a stupid B****H and get on with your life.

Or you can of course take 5 minutes of your life to rant and rave and post a comment asking what the hell are you on about. But I will read it and think, omg you got bent out of shape about a forum post, who cares, get a life you complete tosser!

I should of course have dedicated the original post to all those who work in IT departments. :-)

Damn Andemnon, you weren't supposed to get anything from this. The only thing people should take away from this post is, the sad sinking feeling that they will never get back the 30 seconds, oops this is EVE not WOW, the 2 minutes of their lives it took to read the original post.
