I plan to speed tank this Mach, and the x-large is only used for emergency purposes

Not sure if this is a good fit, or even lvl4 worthy. If it's noob fit just go on ahead and call it out. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated, so are positive inputs and ideas

i do have both faction BS skills at 4, and all gunnery at 4 as well. my falloff is now in the 65km range, and dps with guns is in the upper 750s. do you think that's enough?

if you have the cash you can buy faction guns to help dps. in the long run you should still aim for T2 guns. also from what i hear, faction ammo is actually worth it in a mach; it will increase your dps so much that the higher cost are offset by the higher kill speed and mission completion time.

With T2 damage mods, your 4th adds 7.27% to DPS. In my book that's worth it.

resists arent enough imo you should have an invul field and 2 specific hardeners. Also a 100mn microwarp drive is a lot better and faster than an afterburner.

the dcu is only useful if you have to fear being suicide ganked. the tiny amount of shield tank it provides is not nearly worth sacrificing a fourth gyro. if anything you should fit a cap mod to help sustained tank when you screw up a trigger or something.

You have AF on and stable at 62% (my skills ) and you can use the shield at 552 defence omni for 3 min (more than enough) At some missions i wasnt even moving just shooting way to fast to end the mission as fast as possibe (thats why you see sentries) . Your defence goes up as you move (547 m/s my skills) . Plus making it too shinny you can always attrack people to gang you.
As for the DCU i find it a better choice cause a 4th gyro add 50 dps (not going to save youmuch of a time cause rof is high on machariel ) and a 4th tracking give 6 km so not worth it. On the contrary a DCU give 69 defence more that i prefered to have

Fitting a DCU in favour of a 4th gyrostabilizer on a Machariel is sacrilege.

Scrubby permatank build with that medium booster, for bads who can't manage a capacitor (might as well put a helmet on top of the Machariel with how stupid you'd have to be).
