Wow goon propaganda is in full swing here. I guess it will look better if you can manage to drag the appearance of this out for a few more days, despite it pretty much being over tonight/tomorrow.

Well, I can't say I blame you for trying. Getting outfoxed by the hisec "pubbies" you so despise must be pretty embarrassing. I'd be in full damage control mode too, if I were in your shoes.

Guys, I don't think you understand what it is the goons are trying to accomplish. Their goal isn't to kill mackinaws. Their goal is to disrupt the market. They do not care if you have figured out how to mine in safety. They do not care if you managed to survive. They don't even care if you are making billions off of the disrupted oxytope market.

Simply put, you can't get goon tears because THEY HAVE NONE TO GIVE. They just want to watch the world burn, and New Eden is the PERFECT play ground for them to do this over and over and over again.

So why are they spending so much time downplaying the failure and buffing the kill count and timing into oblivion?

GOONS ARE TROLLS.

Any time you give them attention, you are only giving them what they want. And as for the world not burning, just take a look at oxytope prices. Yes, they are falling but, they are still at prices far above their natural equilibrium. The goons made their mark - even if things return to normal, they won't care. Ergo, you won't get any goon tears. Any threads that you make talking about how awesome you are for getting goon tears only gives them more of what they want: attention.

Anyone who has been around this game for a few years should understand this.

I also don't think you ~get~ that it was goons who spiked the price by buying it all up, and there will be much crying when they have to sell it all for less than half of what they paid for it.

I already shared my knowledge with you: the goons simply couldn't care less. Their objective in this game isn't the same as yours, so you should stop projecting your own rationalizations and logic to them. YOU would cry if you had to sell all of that ice back. The goons will simply shrug it off and continue as they have.
