Isk Sink - Hireable Npc Fighter escorts

functions similar to drones set to guard
possibly tied to skills or new skills
can hire up to ? per person
orbits you until agressed by player or npc
warp with you
jump with you
bridge with you
logistic version to rep you
dps version also obv
fees per hour and also per jump(idk fees its an obvious isk sink, what hauler or miner wouldnt want this at a fair price?)
racial types doing racial damage with racial models
cant be told to agress, simply guard only
usable in any sec


blobbin the blobs, keep up, htfu, or gtfo

So, fleet combat goes completely out the window, or gets insanely complicated, anti-socialism hits an all-time high, CCP's original goal of building a game that creates a social network (because that is the entire point of EVERY SINGLE Online game of this genre/style) is tossed and burned, and now every time I go out I have to spend billions to keep my mercenary NPC's happy because all of their fits suck and they keep getting spanked by the freaking single titan that just hot dropped on top of me?

No thank you, I would rather fight against other players WITH other players rather than have some idiotic AI flying back up...

... which would essentially make it so I was flying alone.

No to your Super Drones. -1000 to your Super Drones idea.

Hey, if CCP wants you to be social in Eve, all space would be Concord space, everyone will fly side by side with peace and love, no one will be paranoid and no one will get ganked. It will be lovely.Bear

Eve is antisocial.

This is a no, and I shall explain a few reasons why.

Number one: Server resources.

Number 2: NPCs

Number 3: Eve is player focus in a mass, one player can make a ripple in the universe, but it takes may players to create a wave. The introduction of this feature will result in the skip the ripple in the universe, to, single person making wave.

Number 4: Re programing concord, how will concord treat your new found, NPC friends? As Drones? or as NPCs that anyone could just come around and blow the **** out of, and if you try to respond, you get the living crap kicked out of you by concord. So you would open the doors wide open to more grifers, and trolls.

EVE Is a social game, believe it or not it's been called more than one "A giant chatroom". But apart from that, living in happiness and like hippies isn't the definition of socializing. Nullsec alliances are thousnads of players each striving for a goal. together down in nullsec they experience lots of things together, do social things like mining OPS etc, fleet ops. the key to living in nullsec is PARTICIPATION.

same with wormholes. People in C5/C6 wormholes are doing it with a corp or alliance because they can't do it alone.

Which is where we get to the premise of this suggestion. "Being able to do it alone".

It takes a player to be an industrialist/hauler. It also takes players to KILL that ship. So why shouldn't it take players to DEFEND that ship, too? If there's going to be an easy system of hiring merceneries, don't make them NPC mercenaries, because this is a PEOPLE oriented game, and if you implement something, implement it around people.

Because if we can pay for NPC mercenaries, why not pay for NPC haulers and NPC miners and NPC pvpers and NPC titan pilots and infact, when i start my own alliance why not make EVERYTHING NPC.

Get the drift? It's a social game, it's an M-M-O. MASSIVELY. MULTIPLAYER. ONLINE. not MASSIVELY-SINGLEPLAYER-ONLINE.

Also, they wouldn't be like drones. Drones, for one, don't have 80% of those capabilities, probably wouldn't do half as much DPS as the OP wants them to do and most of all, they don't fit nicely in your drone bay like DRONES do.

Are you a conservative American or perhaps some sort of rebellious teen? If I'm right I'll send you 10mil, no joke. Some kind of aversion to the word "social" is the feeling I get. crossing my fingers...

Oh, this, it's a bad idea.
If you want logistics in fleet with you and some e-war or tackle, you should start multiboxing fleets like the rest of us.
