How can I turn off the new cumbersome inventory "system" and go back to the old system?

Smoke from missles in the vacuum of outer space?!? Rocks that don't move when u bump into them?!? O_o What's next? Flyin Purple People Eaters?

This engine has never looked like space in the least, so if you are really worried about the rocks, you are deluded.

Then ur right...my expectations from a space game was deluded ;p

So I bet ur looking forward to the flying pigs and elves and tooth fairies in the next update, huh?

And ur also right, killing an unarmed mining ship would make me feel much better, I'd feel like a big man picking on 2yr olds ;P Can I be a gank b!tch like u sum day?

New UI make it easier for bots to be written. Less variable windows to deal with.

What is ccp thinking? Why would you want 10 options to open to drag items to your hanger? Is this to help all the morons who don't know how to sort stuff with containers and dump everything into the general hanger??????? Hey how bout they add something that IS actually useful like a way to search all containers and ship cargo for items you have lost track of. Like maybe that mission objective you left somewhere such as a person who has 200 containers and 20 industials and cant remember where their courier package is? or maybe a search function on assets for items in corp hangers? How bout ccp add something that doesn't lag the hell out of our computers. CCP im sure this is a bigggg time shocker for you but not all your customers have the latest fastest computers. I for one am not buying a whole new computer just to run eve to handle extra features I don't even like! That takes a level of eve addiction I am very far from attaining.

LOL idk what to say. Apparently ur all children. There is NOT and will NEVER be smoke in the void of space. What u might be confused about is what u are referring to as smoke, is FROZEN matter. And in any case there would not be long trails of it like u see from rl smoke in the atmosphere of a planet. It's rly not that hard, but it's expected from the lack of intelligence from ppl using this game. Is ignorance rly bliss?

Of course there will be smoke in space. The visible part of smoke is solid particles, which by your own definition is frozen. Why on earth would particles and matter in general just dissapear in space?
Just because vacuum causes a lack of sound doesn't mean other things dissapear aswell.

Pffft. It literally took about 10 minutes of head scratching on SISSI before I got it. It's a much better system. You can shift drag ammo right from your inventory to your active ship. You can do the reverse too. The only annoying aspect is when you unintentionally hover to long over the target inventory.

that is so annoying, if it wasn't for that part alone, I might not be freaking out over this, and waiting for the promised fixes, but the inventory window's schizophrenia verges on giving me seizures, or atleast throwing me in to a fit. and I'm just trying to play a freaking game, whats gives?

Smoke coming out of engines would be travelling in different directions at a very high velocity. There is no air to slow its movement. The particles would be so small and moving so fast in different directions, I doubt very much you could see them in space. I do think it looks kinda cool though so why not? It's not so different from the super slow motions explosions from missiles that totally fry my retina every time I watch missile hit my ship. I need to start wearing eye protection. Normally I zoom way way out and just fight by the overview cause the explosions are so annoying to my eyes.

The vacuum would dissapate it quickly, true. But I still believe it should be visible.

I agree that it's more of a hassle now than it was before. When I dock again I don't want to click 10 times to find what I'm looking for. With shift click you can rearrange all the windows just as they were but like Babs said: It's not permanent!

Also there's too much text bars around the window, the bars are too wide and that's just annoying when you just want to see what's inside of it.

I like the feature with the estimated price though. No matter if it's entirely correct or not I finally have an indication of what my inventory is worth :P (on the other hand it's 2 lines too many on the bottom of the window :S)

Let's hope they do some iteration on this soon, it could use some improvement.

Phaedra

Edit: I'd like to see my active ship back in the hangar as well!
Edit #2: I don't like my cargo inventory to pop up every time I undock or jump!

Please no! Get rid of it! The last thing I want to waste my limited CPU power on is calculate a completely arbitrary misleading value for a bunch of junk in my cargo. This may be useful to complete noobs but any experienced player should know what stuff is roughly worth just from looking at it. I can give you a much better estimate of what my loot sells for in about 2 secs of looking at my cargo. And anything so rare i dont know what its worth.... I'm going to price check the market anyway not rely on some randomly generated isk value found by looking at market orders which are mostly random anyway. market orders or determined 99% by current competition and 1% by the items real value. ie.. if there are no buyers for an item worth 150m there will always be someone who offers 5k for it. Is 5k really the price of that item. Trust me I know. I have about 200 orders for items nobody wants and I offer 1/100th their real value. If I am outbid... I will raise it till I make less than 10% profit.

ROTFLMAO true dat! I gotta start proof reading my comments. When I go back and read what I hammered out on the keyboard,,, It looks like I'm totally uneducated.

On a side note I would like to respond to a couple comments earlier....
1. You can not adjust the new UI to look like the old one... you are a tool.
2. 800 windows??? R U SERIOUS??? you are a troll.
3. Bots??? Really??? Anyone who has a bot is a freaking ******, let them keep it. I'm not going to say much about that cause I dont know much about bots but..... I don't think bots are really an issue anymore. Almost everytime I have went AFK I have been ganked. I don't see how botting could be profitable.

Seriously. Adding complexity to a system that really involved NOTHNG MORE THAN EMPTY BOXES TO PUT STUFFZ IN is just so.........there really are not words for it.

And the DevBlog after the FanfestFiasco about "it's time for CCP to be legitimate, professional" rang hollow then and is now exposed for what it was. Ignoring the 25 pages of Threadnaught on the Sisi Forums about all this is absolutely unprofessional. Pathetic. I feel sorry for Tippia having wasted all her time on the videos. CCP is just out of control.

That anyone at CCP sees this as a good idea has me convinced that EVE is going one way and I need to book flights in the other direction. I have.

Yes CCP players are mad because of UI, because you broke somthing that work before properly.

CCP even Ui may be a stupid reason to mass unsub, fact is you dont work with own customers, that made people rage, why so meny step backward, do you have any employes who responding for your game strategy? Maybe you need profesional psychiatrist in CCP team who spetialized in relations betwen developers and customers ?
Looks like people start to hate you CCP, some players give you chance, but dont exept another chance for second come back...

Like Diablo III: it's gonna be real hard to make that Second 1st Impression. After Incarna, this next opportunity was a big fAIL just because they wanted to have deaf ears for 5 weeks while that Sisi Forum Thread grew and grew. They just choose to ignore. That's the only thing that makes any sense, as nonsensical of a choice that is indeed.
