Why ccp?

Why would you change something that was already working great and no one had a problem with?

Why do you not read our posts and listen to our feedback?

I have sat in my pos ever since this change to inventory simply because mining has now gone from pain in the butt to undoable with 6 accounts.

Why do you want players to bot? That must be the reason for this change.

This whole thing has been nothing but ccp's attempt to bring more botters to the game. That can be the only answer. Botters = more money for ccp because botters need to buy gtcs too.

Stop botters from mining my ore please and roll back this change please.

I seriously can't believe that people are complaining about a more organized approach to characters items. I LOVE the new setup and I am not the only one. It even tells you how much your cargo is valued at. How cool is that!! I think people just need to get used to it. But certainly DO NOT revert back to the old less organized way. The Changes in this latest update are very nice. I have been on since the beginning of the game and the new changes has made the game fun to play again. Thanks CCP!!!

I just tried to do my usual POS and shopping related task as an industrialist, i also tried really hard to use the inv.-tree combined with the shift-click window functionality. The result is that i need like double the amount of clicks and twice the time to accomplish the same things.

Here are the main problems:

1) In the old system window position and setup was saved separately, this means if u open it via hotkey u directly understand what was open, since each window was at a distinct position with a distinct size and setup. In the new system u need double check where u are every time.

2) Grouping windows where saved, so that if u open several pos arrays u always got the same loc/size. In the new system u get the big window.

3) Near a POS with lost of modules its basically a nightmare to work with the new window, since u have to rename modules, so they show up top in the list.

4) U cant separately save the "icon, detail, list" view per container, hangar in the new tree view. This means i have to constantly switch between those 3 settings, since for POS arrays i need the list view, while for hangar or containers i prefer the icon view.
In the old system the setup was saved per window, so i never had to change it after i did setup it, the way i need it,

5) Any corp hangar list that uses the devision layout, simply expands the tree view size. This means that after opening several pos arrays just so i can access the first devision, the list is already so long that i cant drag&drop to the needed second pos arrays. In the old system the devisions where stacked and did not expand the needed window size, which made drag&drop much simpler. Maybe allow to remove unused devisions and save this setting, so the tree view stays at a reasonable size?

6) The new tree view also wont distinguish between off-lined and on-lined POS arrays, this means my POS list is gigantic and slow, while i actually cant even access half of it since those are off-lined. In the old system this was irrelevant since i did not handle things via a gigantic tree view.

Basically the poor design of the new system is based on lost human recognition of size and window positions. The basic idea of the tree is oki, but the lost ability to save different windows and positions makes it harder, since as a human we can recognize location and positions much faster than a highlighted text entry in a tree view.

i don´t want to know the roughly estimated value of the missiles that i will fire at the next ship, they will be gone in some seconds anyway so why i need to bother my client with such useless information at all? it´s just some useless information that needs to be updated every second and adds no value at all.

Tell me how cool it is when you have a missile BPO, missile BPC's, and missiles you're just built sitting in a Corp Hangar and the screen tells you "apples + oranges + pears = ISK".

I would agree with you, but there are market tools already in-game that tell me how much everything is worth based on buy/sell orders. If you don't know how to use those tools, you really aren't ready to buy or sell things on the market.

I don't like the new UI because it tries to do too much. I like it a little more today since the shift click does seem to be working so far, and I can seperate out a couple of my favourite windows.
I hate the increase in salvaging time for a mission that the new UI has forced on us.
I dont care how much the stuff in my hold is worth, I put it there so have a good idea what its worth already.
I don't care how much the stuff is worth in a wreck. I already have a general idea, or I am not bothered because I am going to stack everything in a hanger and sort it at a later date. Which will be either to reprocess the lot, or pick out the stuff I need then reprocess the rest.

new inventory has lost functionality (what a surprise), its fine if you dont have much stuff but the old way is just sooo much better especially if you have a lot of assets in one place, also with multiple windows the damned tab read ship name, ship type etc i have to widen them just so i know which can im looking in

there are a few things that have needed attention for awhile imo, like corporation roles (most arent clear at all) aswell as pos functionality, i cant honestly think of anything that was wrong with the old inventory system, it was easy to use and did the job perfectly well - if CCP can bring back the same functionality level back with the new inventory then great but i doubt they can
things i liked before were the way i could double click on something like a can and it would open its inventory window, i also liked being able to select multiple cans and have them all open for me while being able to read the can name in the tab header

i liked the idea of walking in stations tbh, i really do but the captains quarters are just well, boring, i never use them (and even if there was wis i would still want option of the ship view or wis)

This inventory system is the most horrible part of the patch.

Mining operations:
If you've ever held a mining op with jet-cans pulled by a Rorqual or Orca, or dumping directly into the cargo bay on an Orca, or dumping from an Orca into a Rorqual, where they were once easy, are now incredibly painful. You really need multiple windows for doing these operations and its obvious that whomever came up with this design hasn't spent hours in a belt or mining out the ABC's of an anom.

Looting wrecks:
This should be super easy with two clicks (open cargo, loot all button) but it's now just madness. I don't want to open an inventory control system (and wait for it to load) while looting wrecks. All I need to see is the cargo hold of the wreck that I'm looting, not everything I have in system. This not only applies to belt ratting, but running a Noctis through a plex to get all the goodies and T2 salvage. And no, I don't want to fill my screen with stuff I don't need to see while running a salvage op.

Corp Hangars:
Moving things like blueprints in/out of a corp hangar to use the corp lab are painful. There is no reason why I need to open my entire inventory, then open (shift+click) on the corp hangar, then open (another shift+click) the container with my blueprints, and then struggle with now open containers/corp hangar that will reset their size every session change because they are now hidden behind a single massive inventory control panel.

Session Resets:
When I open my cargo hold, drone bay, station container, anchored container, Corp Hangar, or my friend's corp bay in his Orca, I don't want to deal with resizing it every single time I need to open it. I have different sizes for each based on what action each item provides me, whether its dumping ammo into my hold, adding/removing drones, or just trying to keep track of minerals or blueprints. I don't want to open something and watch it fill my screen.

The total lack of functionality makes it insane to use ...... and I haven't even covered moon mining/silos, POS refueling, corporate labs (picking up BPC's), etc. ......

Clearly, the people coding this game are not people who actually play it.

Ship hangar back would be good.I miss 1click theres my ships.Having to click away even more to get to the same place is a waste of time and threatening RSI.Do I need to know that the ammo I use is worth less every shot.Loot values are so far out as to be in fairy tale land.I know this is a fairytale land ,but even so....

I would have preferred to see something like this implemented in the assets window rather than an inventory. Its a lot more complex and sluggish and isnt exactly something I want to deal with when I'm flying in space trying to loot wrecks and cans, or throwing a load of ore in the POS or even checking up on ammo.

Sure it provides lots of functionality in terms of filtering and organising your items but for simple things like just moving an item from your cargo to your POS or looting wrecks its very counter-intuitive. When I'm flying in space and not just docked in a station I really cant be arsed about half the **** that the new inventory window does because I'm busy flying my ship and doing other **** that has nothing to do with how organised my inventory is. Which is why I think such a function would have been better suited as an assets window overhaul, hell I'd love the price estimates in my assets window. I'd even love having all the orginisation options in my assets window. You could even make so that you could manipulate/move around items in the assets window like you can in the inventory. But when it comes to simple things, the new system is slow and not as easy to use as the old one.

You aren't paying attention and you certainly haven't bothered to read this thread where people like me have included screenshots to very clearly and concisely describe the problems we have with the new inventory system.

We took the time to post in this thread. If nothing else, you owe it to us to actually read the ****ing thread.

This desperately needs to be addressed and have the option to have a 'Classic' view of our items. I could understand if this inventory system was applied to our assets placed all around the EVE universe, to help us keep track of what crap we have where and how much its worth. But for the in station access and for the use of capital ship hangars, and even mining vessels - whose cargo bay Close's itself every time you remove all items from it. its a P.O.S.

CCP you've made the game over tedious for me to play, a factor i find that compels me to un-sub, I've unsubbed two thus far,. The extra tedium and glitches make running multiple clients a joke, so I'll unsub them all - until this matter is resolved.

I'm surrounded by Trolls. All this negative feedback means we'll just be getting new forums released before DUST goes F2P....

WRONG! Glare Crust is listed at about 7-9x its actual cost in Jita. CCP wont be able to keep up with the player market, this is already apparent when you have to pay taxes when importing/exporting goods. I pay 10% actual tax when the custom office is at 5% tax.
