[WORKAROUND] EVE launcher update failing (after update to INFERNO 1.0.1)

eve launcher dying with exception. it seems, that the launcher is unable to fetch the update file

tried re-installing older client. launcher update worked. now downloading latest patch 1.1 gb

Found a workaround for the issue:

Dowload the updated launcher from http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherUpdaters/LauncherUpdater_cl377423.tgz

copy or move it to /Applications/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/cache/LauncherUpdater.tgz
overwrite the file that is already in place

steps using iTerm
- open an iTerm
- and enter the following 2 lines. press enter after each one

curl -O http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherUpdaters/LauncherUpdater_cl377423.tgz
mv LauncherUpdater_cl377423.tgz /Applications/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/cache/LauncherUpdater.tgz


run the launcher

It works!

I agree with the man above: CCP left Mac users alone - no responses to forums, no bug report help, no nothing.

You should start to pay Wattis above salary, because he is doing your job.

still doesn't work! Same error



So! I already did all of step, and the launcher start to work, but the launcher give me an upload. After download and refresh, I have same problem, and now the iTerm couldn't help me. Always get same old error message than before! I getting tired !

I had some exception after patching as well. I simply removed the game, re-downloaded the new client and it works fine now. The first time when I run this it needed to download one more patch but it went smoothly this time.
