Eve launcher crashes when trying to update the launcher update released today (the 23th of may)

Hi all,

Since today (the 23rd of may) i can no longer launch eve as the eve launcher crashes when it tries to self update to the lastest launcher version that was released today of 23rd of may.

anyone knows why?

Running windows 7 professional x64, tried eve repair, tried safe mode but nothing works, just get the same error however i try. even tried running eve as administrator.

if it helps, i get a crash report everytime aswell, but due its long lenght and as it contains some sort of HTML code i cannot post it...

any suggestions on what to do?



Edit: Also Worth mentioning that eve was working fine yesterday and never experienced any issues with Eve or the launcher ever before...

It looks like they are either re-patching or they removed the old update. If you try to bypass the launcher this is the error you get

There was an unexpected error while retrieving update status:
Unable to download file /EveOnlineLauncher/launcherInstaller/EveOnlineLauncherInstaller_TQ_1320.exe from the server.
Error: url //cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherInstaller/EveOnlineLauncherInstaller_TQ_1320.exe not found

I'm having this same problem, tried the repair, still doesn't load.

I ran "ExeFile.exe" from the bin folder of the game, and it loaded...

That's what's working for me, hope it works for you so you can get in game!

Works to launch EVE from the install dir bin folder, thanks for the heads up.


Update:seems like they have fixed the launcher now aswell, just launched a second client and it seems like the launcher succeded with the update.

This seems to only work if you have the most recently (like as of this morning) build. Otherwise you can't logon this way.

Confirmed, just launched a second client and the launcher update seems to be working.
