No missile effects after Inferno update

Despite having installed the Inferno update, the new missile effects are (in my case at least) absent from the game. I'm able to see flames burst out of each launcher, but no trails or particles.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is this be something to do with my graphics card?

I can't tell if they're actually launching or not, as my client strobes white and locks up hard for a few seconds to almost a minute every time missiles are fired.

Hell of a Tengu nerf!

The effects are a tickybox in the graphics tab - I'll be turning it off the next time I play. Check and see - maybe the effects boxes are off-by-default on your client?

Thanks for the response. All ticky boxes are ticked in my case, including GPU particles.

Dunno what to tell you, then - given my experience I'd say no visuals is better than seizure mode. Now that the missile effect code is "in the wild," hopefully the bugs will get smacked down quickly and we'll both achieve satisfaction.

Screenshots of your graphic settings would also be appreciated and the visual artifacts (if any) would also be appreciated.
