Wait, you're trying to make a comparison between a video game user interface and real life? UI is designed to let the player get around the game as easily as possible. In EVE's life, if you really wanted to move something, you would have to go tell your crewmen to go do it for you, which would require voice detection and all sorts of AI to make something "realistic".

Most fail post I've seen in a while. And your quatruple/quintriple posting is not helping your image, although you may believe it gets you kudos or something, it doesn't. Sorry, dude.

And the new UI is great, keep it up CCP!

I don't even have to wait 5 seconds for yet another one.

You dweebs do realize CCP has nothing to go on'what you like' so if you like it you'd better scream loud before it goes away. Roll

But you don't actually respond to what I have to say. Oh dear, someone has a problem here.

Commenting on my: "OBVIOUS containers plainly inside the OBVIOUS Hanger Window where they would be in RL"

In RL I have seen containers boxes in warehouses. My Station Hanger is like a Warehouse, and it too has containers that open up and contain things. Therefore RL = EVE for this instance.

Or are you going to try convincing me that not even Simcity was based on RL social statistics and RL dynamic modeling mathematics or something ?

i also love to use GSC ... a goes to a .. b goes to b ... and with the filters EUREKA !

But now you are finding them in a stupid tree or with a filter instead of dropping into OBVIOUS continers plainly inside the OBVIOUS Hanger Window where they would be in RL. This new way is more complicated, but if you love complication...to each his own I guess.

Just one question for all the crybabies who tend to like picking on the carebears : When did WINDOWS became such a big challenge for you guys?

At this point, after reading the qqs, i`m honestly surprised that most of you managed to install EVE in the first place. I`m aware that people are resistant to change to begin with - the main reason why religion still exists. But lets be real here ... it`s an interface close to the one most people should be used to by now.

To be honest, instead of the all the "the inv system suks" just post in what really bothers you and ask for something productive like : - autoclose/remove the wrecks from the inventory tree when they are empty! >>> VOILA !

To sum things up :
- Changes to wardec system > interesting
- Love for caldari > LOVE You back !
- Sweet inventory > NERDGASM !!

No more useless windows everywhere.Big smile

Ur not bloody wrong there, just a few bugs thats been listed that i am sure they are working on.

The only thing i am going to miss is being able to have 2 cargo windows open and being able to put stack on stack when missioning pvp'ing or mining :( but the rest is so much easier.

Yay new inventory! The "extra clicks" i have to do with the new system is easily miniscule to the clicks I'd have to do hunting down the x buttons to close the 20,000 little windows that pop up all over everywhere!

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

You can still open the new window if you hold the shift key, and yeah the stacking part will be a pain ... but then again i`d hate myself if a 2nd window would make me miss a pixel from the new missile effects :DBig smile

and i`m sure they`ll fix the wrecks/cans issue soon enough.

On the old system there were not that many unless YOU opened them. Now they are a list a mile long that you would hate.

Therefore you lie.

Try running hauling for a group of miners or manage a POS and tell us how great it is. Try using an orca for more than just mining boosts and use it as a ship storage for defense ships. try using ANY capital ship that has maintenance bays, corporate bays, and the such.

I wouldnt have as much of a problem if it at least
1) would STAY OPEN. WHERE I PUT IT.
2) would REMEMBER the last corporate hangar i opened and open right to that.
3) WOULD STOP CLOSING ON SESSION CHANGE.
4) would STOP CHANGING the selected tab randomly when doing certain things.

I would rather just press alt-c to open this window and have click and double click open the old way. this holding shift is annoying, especially when trying to open containers and you end up not holding shift down. I never had more than 4 windows open at once. if you had more than that, you were probably managing a POS, in which case this system doesnt help at all since we still have to open multiple windows to get what we want done... its just now it require a little more work.

Extra work that does nothing for older players. This change is a change for new players and ***** on all the old players even more.
