Actually the new inventory is probably much easier to write bots around considering everything is in one window now.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Bots thrive on predictability, and thew new UI gives just that. It puts every container into a nice list in a window that is always the same size and same spot. It provides convenient access (for bots, which don't care about massive amounts of clicking and hotkeys) to the inventory.

The old UI involved opening multiple windows up, making the developer's job harder. They had to keep track of what was open and when. Now it's all in one window.

CCP managed to deploy a "fix" that makes the game harder for humans to play but far easier for bots. LOL.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

It's a captcha generator for RL players.

Makes you stop and read what's going on before you make a big mistake.



The jury is still out on my feedback of the unified inventory, but it's not looking too good. I'm trying to be nice about it and try to adjust before commenting.

I'm 100% for game design which ruins the day for bots, but craptastic design which a) breaks that which worked and b) makes players go through contortions to accomplish their activities not acceptable.

I don't know how big a wrench it throws into botters, but you may not see them around for a day or two until the bot developers fix things. There are some tears flowing from some of the new botters who want to bot and want to bot now. Big smile

Not trolling.

I like the new inventory system, and I think it will only get better as CCP tweaks it here and there. I hope to hell CCP doesn't listen to the whining minority this go around and ruin a good thing.

I also think there are botters that are totally pissed with this new patch because their old bots no longer work. :)

You mean the complaining majority, cause I'm not seeing much support here to be honest. You can keep your one window if you like it, fine. It should have been an option though not just foisted on ppl.


Oh and apart from the UI and the datacores I like the patch, been waiting for missile launchers for so loooooong. Just shame it had to be overshadowed by UI.

Actually a head count on the message boards was done and it is like less than 30 people all posting in or creating new threads about the topic. So you are a vocal minority.

Yep me too. Going to take awhile to get used to but quite honestly I prefer it. Having only one monitor my screen got clogged. This clears some congestion.

Actually we do not know how many like or dislike it. People who dislike it usually get mad and get posting. Those who like it play the game, and do not post.


Personally Im split. Im wondering if once I get use to it, CCP does some iterations, I figure out how to use filters to do the sorting I use to do with containers, if it will be a good change.
