Anyone know what skills boost a skills RAW Energy Grid and CPU (as in not skills that allow Mods that boost them, but give direct boosts).

Electronics and Engineering, I believe. Additionally, there are a number of skills that reduce the amount of CPU/PG of certain types of modules that sort of has the same effect.

Those are the only two I'm aware of that give direct boosts. Skills like Weapon Upgrades, Advanced Weapon Upgrades, Shield Upgrades help in the sense that they reduce power and CPU consumed by modules. Those are three I could think of off the top of my head but I'm sure there are more. Just browse skills and read their description.

Also Energy grid upgrades, which I understand it's necessary for Marauders and for some Certificates but which, honestly, I found no reason to train past III so far.

Energy grid upgrades 5 is needed for T2 reactor control unit, which might come in handy depending on what you do.

To the OP's question, Engineering and Electronics are the only 2 skills that give a direct boost, if you do combat pve and/or pvp Weapon Upgrades and Advanced Weapon Upgrades could be seen as I direct boost as it reduces the PG needs of all weapon systems.

Depending on what rigs you generally use the rigging skills will decrease pg/cpu penalty on certain rigs.

All the skills ending in 'Upgrades' reduce the fitting cost of certain modules.

Because weapons consume the lions share of CPU and Power Grid on most fits, Weapon Upgrades and Advanced Weapon Upgrades should be an early priority.

Often overlooked are rig drawbacks, which can be pretty hefty when you have 3 rigs fitted.

Drone / Launcher / Energy Weapon / Hybrid Weapon / Projectile Weapon Rigging can also be considered fitting skills.

Yup. As Malcanis suggests, I trained Electronics, Engineering, Weapon Upgrades and Advanced Weapon upgrades to V, and then you more or less forget about fitting problems for most of your EvE life, bar extreme fits or special circumstances.

Training to IV those rigging skills which attack your fitting capabilites would also be quite important.

Actually, I am living one of those special circumstances. I cannot use a fit I dig without Recons V. Sometimes you struggle, even if you have the basics covered.
