Did you even read this thread at all? Wtf is the point of going on SiSi and leaving feedback if you morons don't actually give two ***** about what we think?

But they did read it and they value your feedback.

They just made the decision to ignore it when it came down to it.

But your feedback was appreciated anyway.

They want feedback on how to make it better not how you don't want it at all. Either way there are a lot of people in that thread that have no problem with the changes. Vocal minority again...

Even ignoring the "I don't want it at all" posts, there was a lot of 'constructive' feedback in that thread on how to make it more functional and less cumbersome. CCP chose to ignore all of the feedback. As someone who has been on the test server multiple times a week over the past month or so doing alliance tourney practices, I can tell you that the inventory system wasn't tweaked a single time. It went from it's first introduction on SiSi to live release on TQ without a single change being made to it.

In that thread you will also find posts documenting several bugs with the system (ships not appearing in the inventory properly, items 'disappearing' etc). Strangely enough the inventory system was released on TQ with all the exact same bugs still intact. The issue is not the inventory system. I'm not a fan of it in it's current state, but I feel it could be good with some tweaks and adjustments, the issue is again, like always, CCP 1) completely ignores any and all feedback from their customers, and 2) imposes UI changes on us, rather than introducing UI options.

I love the game.
I love the effort, CCP is putting into it and bringing it closer to the future, for the sake of CCP and the fun for the players.
I love many new features and also that CCP obviously has increased the manpower in the developement.

I still have it in my ear, what the CEO of CCP said not too long ago, about listening to players, about where they want to go speaking in terms of customer service.

The aimed understanding of CCP towards the players hasn't yet grown to a cultural thing. They want us on Sisi. But to develop their ideas, not to listen nor help us.
And all this for the reward of 100000 ish skillpoints, lol. Let's put that straight: it does make no sense to limit the skillpoints on a testserver, if it really is what it is supposed to be: trying new ways, getting a feel of that cool dictor, battleship, carrier, whatever. Big announcements for engagement, when it's about their needs and interests. Not even paying attention to the effort of engaged players, who give a constructive feedback. Why would I take the hassle of going on Sisi... pff.

I find myself the longer the more not only sad about missed opportunities to build for an excellent future, but also angry about the resistance of CCP to learn. They knew better.

My decision is still to spend my time by playing Eve.

I am confident that listening will become part of the culture of CCP. It's clearly not yet.

God I hope not, that thread is pretty dumb.

"Dear CCP your new feature needs 500 additional features for it to be everything I ever wanted. Please take care of that in the next couple weeks."

Dumb.

You keep saying this. Are you an employee of a rival MMO? Maybe from Blizzard or Bioware?

TBH it seems that they must be allowing changes to be made by ppl who are not playing on a regular basis. How else could patches like this get so messed up?

I think CCP should release another expansion that accidentally deletes your boot.ini. Then maybe you whiners would be grateful for a few little bugs.

Whilst yes, there are limitations to what can be implemented when on a deadline, releasing something with bugs as obnoxious and pervasive as the cargo hold reopening every single session change is pretty lame.

There are certain things that just shouldn't have been ignored. This is probably not an issue with the developers, this an issue with CCP management needing to learn how to set appropriate deadlines.

If it is unrealistic that a fully finished product will make the deadline, fine cut a few features and add them later. But if multiple major features (the UI and war decs) are receiving streams of negative feedback on testing, and you have bugs you simply cannot iron out in time, inferno release date should have been pushed back.

I really like Inferno's changes and I'm grateful for them. The new inventory is awesome in my opinion, as are the V3 shaders and the missiles. The only thing I'm not sure of are the new wardecs.

One of the advantages of being a newb like me is that I'm not too attached to old things. Although there are a few problems with the new interface, it is much, much better than the old one.

Yeah because a bigger cluster f*ck always make me grateful fot the smaller ones. ( I was late patching that one so dodged the bullet)

My perception of a company I give money to shouldn't be, well at least they haven't fu**ed up as badly this time, I'm so grateful here have some more cash.
