I have more idea. Return the UI to how it use to be on the neocom. Then add a new, unified Item window on the neocom. All of the buttons in eve will act as if you're always holding shift. Unless you toggle the shift key.

This way the unified item window is a tool, like the notepad. And can be opened and closed when you want the functionality it offers.

My thoughts exactly. +1 to you. Besides, i thought this unified inventory was supposed to show everything across the entire galaxy. All i'm seeing is the station i'm in, or my ship if im in space. Not the whole of my assets in one place like i thought it would be.

I really wish you guys would stop trying to find ways to modify what you built in some sort of compromise. No one wants the new inventory UI. I promise even CCP members that try and actually play the game with it will want it gone. It was a lot of hard work, i understand. But all you can do is try, and if at the end of the day no one likes it - make it go away. Dont adapt it. Dont filter it. Just take it out of the game. No iteration of it will ever be useful. In my 7 years playing this game this is the one and only thing that i can honestly say has no place in this game. Even previous poor decisions worked themselves out, but this will not.

You guys just spent an entire year earning your reputation back with the players. We had to "burn Jita" to get your attention, and this appears to everyone as the first of the same old mistakes all over again. LISTEN to us. You have plenty of posts confirming this is a bad idea, and that everyone was fine with the old system. Just give it back.

Another problem I just noticed :
you cannot open the main inventory window by 2Xclicking your ship while in warp.

I need to do this a lot when I'm collecting PI matz in lo sec, and I'm sure there are other reasons why it would be nice to open the main INV window while warping.

I'm just blown away that I actually participated in the pre-release tests on SiSi. Thought I was doing some good, and thought all the info I posted would result in avoiding the release of barf bag code. Guess I learned my lesson for the day... I truly thought the horrifying patch days we all remember were a thing of the past. Guess I learned two lessons today.

Hoorah for barf bag code + Embrace change = Embrace Barf Bag !!!

One of the biggest issues with EVE is that it is inaccessible. Devs, you are always saying you need to tackle this, but the new unified inventory is more inaccessible than the old one. Click a container, it opens, you see stuff inside, that's accessible. Click a container, a load of other stuff opens that you're not interested in, that's more inaccessible. Shift/click fix is no fix, as you have to wade through all the stuff you don't want to see to find the container you want to open in it's own window. This really, really sucks

Although you were present at the capture of enemy dungeon in Oyonata, the following circumstances prevent you from qualifying for loyalty points for your effort:
You were too far away from the target.

I was IN the plex, but not on the timer. Do we have to be within capture distance (i.e. running the timer) to get the LP? If so, that sucks as we often have members spread around a plex and not on a timer (e.g. camping the warp in with a single person running it down).

Patch notes don't seem to indicate this is a requirement.

Factional Warfare sites now give Loyalty Points when captured: ◦Minor sites: 10,000 LPs
◦ Standard sites: 17,500 LPs
◦ Major sites: 25,000 LPs
◦ Major Stronghold or Major Compound sites: 30,000 LPs
◦ Infrastructure Hubs: 40,000 LPs

• All LP gains are split among all eligible members. Example: Two Amarr enlisted players capturing a Minmatar or Gallente Minor site would only receive 5,000 LPs for the 24th Imperial Crusade each.

This is by design; players wishing to get rewards have to be actually contributing to the capture. Good catch on the path notes thought, thanks for pointing that out.

WHY WAS THIS MACHANIC NOT MENTIONED BEFORE????

WE ALWAYS GOT STANDINGS INCREASED FOR BEING IN THE PLEX AND NOW YOU CHANGE THIS???

YOU HAVE FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGED HOW PLEXING MECHANICS HAVE TO WORK AND WE NEVER EVEN GET TOLD IT IS CHANGING!!!!

IF I AM IN A PLEX DEFENDING THE WARP IN, HOW AM I NOT CONTRIBUTING TO THE CAPTURE???

agreed, CCP you really messed this one up. Defending the warp in point is contributing to the Capture of the Plex. As long as your in it when it pops, you GET REWARDED. Listen I'm a logi pilot. where do you think I fly? at the beacon? No, I fly out at 50km to heal and stay outside the battlefield.

You're saying that because I choose to play as a logi pilot i do not deserve reward payout? You do know this is how it was when you released FW right? and then you patched it to include all pilots in the plex. Why are reversing this I believe CSM asked for change?

No, people like you can kiss my ***. The new UI is kick ass. It can be removed and added back in as a simple new button for the neocom that opens the optional Unified items window. Make it what it should be. A tool. That only replaces the items window in hanger and NOTHING ELSE. Unless you want it to, by 1st opening the unified items tool from the neocom.

THEN EVERYONE WILL BE HAPPY

I do have to agree with the above post, the idea in general is a good one. However, the implementation is completely screwed up.

- Give people the options of saving certain hangars etc on the neocom.

- Do something with the way looting wrecks works and the windows that open etc.

- Adapt the POS modules so its not 1 big mess.

- Fix the windows opening/closing by themself.

do the above and a lot of complaints will be sorted.

Interesting how the Devs are answering the easy questions here, but totally ignoring the HUGE unified inventory issue. Just like on the other threads over the last month.

CCP listening.... don't make me laugh

Punkturis wasn't part of the team doing the unified inventory, you may as well be complaining she isn't balancing moon distribution as well.

I dont know what forum you are reading, but, well... thats simply not what "everyone" has said. If anyone wanted this even as an "option" they would have said so - at some point. But no one does. Why would they? You can do everything - more efficently, with the old inventory system. Whats the use in wasting extra code in the game for a tool no one would use? So maybe its you that should be kissing my asterisks.

When salvaging and opening a bunch of cargo containers, I would usually be able to hit Loot All on each container in succession.

However - now when I hit Loot All on a cargo container that is amongst a list of those I have opened, it is jumping back to my ship's cargo hold in a messy, slow, painful way, forcing me to select another container from the list before being able to hit Loot All again. Won't this involve more server round trips?

Shift-clicking to open new windows for each cargo container in the side bar list -kind- of works, but it's pretty rancid.

Jumping through a startgate causes the ships cargo bay window to close.

Jumping through the next stargate causes the cargo bay window to open again !!!

Plamsa Physics R&D points per hour have been nerf.

when I drag a link from a mission for the target solar system it creates a link called 'NON FOUND' in the chat channel, but clicking the link still shows the correct system.

Has anyone gotten this to work yet, and if so, what did you do to get it to work?

CCP said you would listen to us, the players, yet you keep doing stuff like this. Pushing out 1/2 finished items, breaking the game and then not fixing stuff. If you would have taken the time to read the UI thread in the test forums most of these issues would have been resolved before launch. But you didnt, your devs didnt and I am guess the people that did, didnt do anything.

A right click menu with 15 options is 300 percent better than this "Expansion". Now instead of dragging and dropping my ship, I need to right click to activate it. Not to mention the headache trying to move stuff around in my carriers hangers.

And where is the option to align the NEO COM to the top or bottom of the screen?

This is the same if you try to type in say, "Cap Batteries" and link to Large Capacitor Battery II. It changes the text to "Large Capacitor Battery II". If I wanted it to say that, I would have typed that. FIX NOW PLZ!!!!!

While I have to admit the unified inventory is taking a bit of getting used to, I will reserve judgement until I have a couple days under my belt. That said there are a couple of things I would like to highlight for the UI:

1) I feel like I am chasing window contexts. If I just picked up a bunch of loot and I am sorting it into corp hangers, or just docked a freighter for that matter, as soon as you drag something the view switches to the destination of the drag and I have to click to get back to my ship hold. Please at least give us the option to toggle this behavior.

2) Please show the active ship in the ship hanger. The fact that it is missing means I have to go looking for what ship i am in all the time.

3) Quickbar - please give us the same option as the overview and allow us to export the settings to an xml or settings file so we can import it to multiple toons. Most of us using it are looking to duplicate the quickbar amongst multiple marketing alts.

Thanks - and the missiles rock ! :)

The sorting on the Militia Office/Factional Warfare "capture status" is broken. It sorts by alphanumeric instead of numeric. It would be so much easier to use if it was numeric.

I'll make sure my team takes a look at this. Good find!

I'll suggest TriLambda QA get smaller monitors and check Facebook more often while testing so cases like this are properly tested Twisted

+1 for this. Also get the issue if I have tabbed in and out of the client a few times the missiles in flight and missile firing animation disappear even though the missiles icons in the UI are still cycling and I'm getting damage notifications for the target. Zoom in on turrets and they are still tracking they just don't look like their firing.

Not sure if this is linked but this is happening to me in Jita, each time this happens I lose control of the ship as in I'll click dock on a station, I'll get acknowledgement to say docking but ship just keeps orbiting the current target. I have to log to fix.
