Was this some sort of vodoo involved?

It could be for many noobs starting out trying to run their noob missions in a T1 frig.

Of course most will try to dual tank it and die anyway.

well I am not a noob, but the best thing you can do as a noob is to keep distance ... hence imicus and drones rule all noob missions ...

anyway the previous lows were enough already (DC + SAR).

nah he webbed me alright, but for fast scram range frigs like incursus and rifter that can apply DPS from about 9km, you have about a 15-20sec window in which to kill a daredevil before it gets into blaster range. ;)

[Incursus, dps]

Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
Overdrive Injector System II

1MN Afterburner II
Initiated Harmonic Warp Scrambler I
'Langour' Drive Disruptor I

Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S

Small Low Friction Nozzle Joints I
Small Processor Overclocking Unit I
Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I

Warrior II x1

Overload AB for 1666m/s, overload guns for 294dps, 3.1k ehp. You can get more dps with other fits or by using a hobgoblin but this ship will run down most ships in low sec.

[Incursus, mwd/rep]

Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Small Armor Repairer II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I

1MN MicroWarpdrive II
Initiated Harmonic Warp Scrambler I
'Langour' Drive Disruptor I

Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S
Light Neutron Blaster II, Void S

Small Anti-Explosive Pump I
Small Hybrid Burst Aerator I
Small Semiconductor Memory Cell I

Warrior II x1

Only use MWD to get into range. 256dps overloading 54% resists (em is 64) and 62hps (not overloaded) The Merlin does the half tank/half gank thing better though since capboostedshieldboosters.

Also notice that unless you want plates/med shield extender, there is no reason to fit smaller than neutrons. For the Merlin it's similar. A MSE almost always requires a grid mod and this allows you to fit neutrons aswell. Electrons and Ions aren't going to be used that much anymore.

You can dual rep the Incursus and tank a Merlins damage. While doing 200dps with ions. I suggest Ions because of it's tracking and because the setup is tight.
