I have to ask CCP,

Will you be making our accounts universal say account name ********** will be the same account to use to log into WoD and will also be a Dust account if we purchase the games?

Would you introduce log in keys to help account security? or maybe those cool USB drives?

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.

Because it is persistent, because it doesn't come on a disk, and because it's not like most shooters.

We're talking PS3, you would never have been able to do this with any game.

Highly doubtful. While Eve and Dust may communicate with each other, I doubt CCP will copy all user information over to Dust login servers nor that they will share. Same goes for WoD.

How many online shooters do you play? All of them pretty much have some point of login. At least the major ones. CoD, Battlefield, Halo, MAG (lol)..

It's more than common practice and more so a neccessity..

I don't know much if anything about consoles, but don't you require a disk?

Do most computer games require a disk now a days? The answer is no. Now that almost all consoles have a decent sized hard drive, requiring a disk is something thats becoming a thing of the past.

Because Incarna was such a success...
I too believe that Dust and WoD will be everything that all of you think that they will be.

You don't need a disk for dust because most of the calculations will be done on a supercomputer like eve.... So your ps3 isn't going to be doing the heavy lifting, or need as much information as the server supplies it.

at least that's how I understand it *shrug*

To be honest with you this is not a decision that's been made yet to my knowledge so I'm certain any feedback you provide will be helpful. :)

I would like to see a common login between the two. Allowing people to easily access information about both their EVE and DUST 514 characters, assets, and messages would be awesome. With persistent characters and interaction with the EVE universe and corp structure, even without being an MMO, things like EVE Mail and Corp stuff will have to be there, and having it all tied into EVE Gate under one account, IMHO, is a must.

EVE Players reaction about whatever decision CCP takes:

CCP shares the same login in DUST and EVE:
- OMG MY ACCOUNT DETAILS ON PSN SECURITY COMPROMISED I DONT LIKE IT EVE IS DEAD

CCP don't share the login data:
- IM NOT GOING TO PLAY DUST I DONT LIKE TO HAVE MULTIPLES LOGINS DUST IS DEAD EVE IS DEAD TOO

Edit: IMO, EVE Gate (DUST and EVE and maybe WOD integration) can work just like the new Battle.net. One login, multiple games. And a change from login names to emails account would be good.

Even though Faith's caps lock key seems to be broken she does have a point.

What we would need is more info on how dust accounts will work before a universal account could be made.

However I am a person who will be playing both WoD and EvE online. So a singular account could be much much easier between the two.

Benifits -
1 time billing
1 account to remember
1 account to remember all info from which s useful to the gms.

downside
1 account to be hacked = pain.

Possible other benefits / slightly off topic-

People outside of iceland get stuck with this bloody international charge / transaction fee. If it were a universal CCP games account could billing be split up between regional offices? say

US gets billed to atlanta
EU - UK
Asia / Oceania - shanghai?

ANYWAY - feed back. For at least WoD / EvE online a universal CCP games account would be very useful. Tacking on dust will depend on how accounts and characters would work from that perspective. However since these games are not out, this is a great time to consider this and maybe put in frame work on the idea.

wod =/= EVE, has nothing to do with EVE, and is (or should be) completely irrelevant to your EVE account. As far as we are concerned (or at least should be if it weren't for usurped dev resources) , WoD is effectively done by a different company.

Dust, on the other hand... since it's supposedly F2P anyway, there should be no harm into adding 3 Dust slots to existing accounts with no change in subscription. Well, except in that it would be committing more long term to a game that by definition has a relatively short expiration date. As long those empty Duster slots don't get thrown in our face all the time by CCP marketing wh0res trying to sell us more shite, having spacebook access to Dust stuff makes sense.

The big thing is the PSN link... Never ever ever EVER give PSN any kind of access to EVE login credentials EVER! If that ever happened, I would be looking to remove ever last bit of my credit card information from all of CCP's databases, even if it meant pursuing legal options (in fact, with the incompetence of the lolwebteam, I've thought about doing that anyway.) To connect the accounts, there should be an intermediary thing... temporary keys or something to connect your PSN account to your EVE account over the web (lolwebteam, but at least it wouldn't be exposing anything to roflSONY.)

Surely I must have fallen into an alternate dimension.

Can it be that the same forum that has been professing their hate for CCP to have the audacity to develop other games is now asking that it be made easier to access them?

Astounding!

I think a unified account login, similar to the battle.net might be helpful. Especially if the other EVE Gate features like eve mail access come included, plus logging in with a digipass key is easier.

People with multiple EVE accounts would have it easier to manage their accounts and as a kind of veteran reward, those with multiple eve accounts should be able to transfer their aurum between EVE accounts on the same eve-gate super-account.

For CCP it would be easier to handle promotions, for example a small toy soldier included with the collectors edition of DUST is given to your eve account (complete with "stomp on it-emote Cool )

I'm not sure there would be much advantage to shared logins really. Unless we're also talking about tying all of my EVE accounts together in which case maybe.

WoD will be an entirely separate and unrelated title, I don't see any point in tying it to my EVE account.

EVE and Dust will be interlinked, so if I were able to access all of my EVE/Dust characters under a single EVEgate login then that might be useful. As it is if I want to check characters across multiple accounts I have to log off/log in more than I'd like. Being able to quickly switch between any character could be good.

No the idea is all of these games belong to CCP right?

Why not like in battle.net and others drop the idea of an eve account for a CCP games account. 1 account to bind them all 1 account to rule them all.

Example there are going to be people like me who will be playing all 3 games.

So why should I have 3 seperate billings or 3 seperate managements for all 3 games.

I would like to be able to log in to my account at ccp games and have a menu, what would you like to manage? Dust 514, WoD or eve online? And from there be able to access EvE gate, Dust gate, or Wod mail w/o having to log in 3 seperate times.

For those of you who play SC2, wow and will be playing diablo 3, you can see the advantage to having a single account log in vs trying to remember 3 different accounts.

That is the question i am proposing.

Since ccp is expanding and will have other games, AND people will be playing two to all 3, would it be reasonable to ditch the specific eve online account to a CCP games account? From this CCP games account you can manage all 3 games or just 1 of them.

I think i should try to add some pretty pictures using keyboard keys.

currently it would look like

EvE online account
WoD account
Dust 514 account.

My proposal and feed back is on what if it was changed to this.

Transition phase All current EvE online accounts Arrow change to CCP Games account.

.................... / Arrow Eve Online
CCP games
account ........ Arrow Dust 514

.................... \ Arrow WoD

From my poor pictures if it were one universal account it will be 100 times easier to manage players.
