Problem with your definition of sandbox is that it doesn't apply to all players. If it's a sandbox, and OP wants to mine unmolested, especially in high sec, then he should be able to. Otherwise it's not a sandbox.

That is ridiculous logic. You are missing the "box" part which is the mechanics of the game, the 'bones' if you will. That presupposes the presence of other people and their actions affecting your gameplay.

MMO. One more time...MMO.

well lets see.... I'm sure I've pissed off lots of people here and I have yet to suffer any forum rage killings in-game

perhaps its the ones who appear weak who get hunted down.

Most I ever got was ripping on some alliance in COAD to the point where I was primary every time we crashed fleets into each other, but that added a bit of predictability in fleet ops Pirate

I'm not sure whether you are stupid or not, but, I will try to explain it from this single statement.

If you can find enough friends, you and your GROUP of friends can push any issue you like in the game any time you like, as long as you break no rules. So, say, instead of complaining on the forums about something that is not broken, you could be in high sec attempting to recruit several thousand people to be in your corp and take down the goons. Once you had enough people and isk, you could then fit up several thousand ships and go invade goon space and TAKE their stuff from them by force. Or you could Burn Jita yourself, with your people you recruited and put in ships.

The point is, you can do anything you like in EvE, within the rules of the game. Some people want to kill people and cause grief, some people want to mine all the time. The people who want to kill and grief have just as much right to do so in EvE online as the people who want to mine. So, if you don't like the goons, or battleclinic, or who knows what else you will be raging on next, get your group together and go punish them. Punish the goons, punish random people, punish anyone who trolls you on the forums. You along with everyone else in game has that capability, you just have to use it. The thing about Goons is, while people may hate them, love them, not care about them, they had enough... idk, charisma, to fill their ranks, now they play how they like. If you don't like it, gather your army and do something about it.

Stop crying like a little ***** and play the game.

That is all.

well i have played eve for a very short time, and in that time i have made a few million isk well because of one group of players i have lost all that isk and really it is sad to see that the rules do not apply to every one.

i have seen players ganked again and again and again for no reason. i my self have been ganked this program called hulkageddon or how ever you spell it is just bull ****. burn jita is bull **** i will still play but the fact that this goon what ever is allowed to have so much free reign in the game is sad.

i know one player that because of burn jita lost almost a billion isk. but for the most part a hand full of players ruins the game for every one else those who play for enjoyment of waisting time.
i have noticed that people are talking about the loss of players in game, well if you look at actions you can see why people are leaving the game.

but i found a video a few months ago that talked about a site called battle clinic well the other day i went and looked at it and to tell the truth the site is i would say bull ****. a long with that from what i understand of fitting ships (i have studied the eve ship fitting) are for the most part bull ****.

the idea of posting fits that work is like giving away your edge in battle and if any one who uses the fits is really stupid just because (even though i never used them my self) seem to be fail in all manners. but i know that i know that when i do get on the game i will become a target for every one now. so how shall i end this let it come i could care less i am not backing any one in this game also i know that this thread will get trolled to death, and also i will get bashed hard; because i have called out goon and other players for there actions in game and really i could care less about it

so have a good night and not a single **** was given

Only way itll change is if everyone mad at Goons does this... not QQ I quit message and logs back in but actually leaves.

But then likely thatd be the what 70% of the game that lives in high sec and the game would die.

Win/win eh Goons?

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

I once had an acquaintance who fancied himself a woodsman. Though, a practiced eye could readily see he was not. One summer's day he ventured forth into the backcountry of the Rocky Mountains - west of Azure Lake - where he came upon a large, unfriendly grizzly bear. Now, this bear seemed to think that neck of the woods belonged to him, so he proceeded to demonstrate this to my acquaintance in no uncertain terms. This would-be woodsman was forced to flee as fast as his Vass hiking boots would carry him.

All the while, he's thinking to himself, "Who is this large bear to be so hostile in a land which obviously I have as much right to as him!" After a mile of exhaustive sprinting he'd long left the bear behind (who also, as it happened, reached the edge of what he considered to be his own domain, and turned back about the time this "woodsman" had covered a quarter of a mile,) yet he was unaware of this fact as his mind was so preoccupied by the injustice of his plight.

When he at last was satisfied he was safe, as he looked over his shoulder to be sure, he stumbled into a fallen log which also housed a rather large hornets' nest. Out flew the hornets believing they were under attack! Though, it took a couple of sharp stings for my acquaintance to realize it was indeed HE who was under attack! Gathering his wits he once again fled through the woods. After another five minutes of running he felt assured he'd left the hornets behind. So, he found a comfortable-looking log and sat upon it to rest himself all the while even more bewildered at the unfairness of a nature which was supposed to be so fair!

Little did he realize, sunning himself on the end of that same log was a diamond back rattlesnake. Yet, it hardly took a moment for the snake to realize someone was just a little too close for comfort. After a moment's stillness (should the intruder decide to move on) the snake determined it was time to act and began rattling his tail as rattlesnakes are wont to do. It came to this "woodsman" as distant, quite beyond his thoughts, but soon made itself felt as that threatening sound few people have actually heard.

Needless to say, once again my acquaintance hastily bolted forth to put some distance between him and the viper. He then made his way back to his camp, hornet stung, scratched up and scuffed, overheated, even more tired and generally putout by the callousness of what he thought would be a glorious day enjoying the arena of his enviable skills as a woodsman.

Now, I know all this as my acquaintance conveyed to me his story over ice cold beers at a local bar in a nearby town. After he related his experience he rose in a huff, paid his tab, and (somewhat inebriated) climbed into his four-wheel drive. As he exited the gravel parking lot he ensured a spray of pebbles punctuated his departure. I came to find out later he was struck by an 18-wheeler at a lonely intersection where he'd failed to stop at a stop sign, and was instantly killed.

Which all goes to show you: Some days you eat the bear. Some days the bear eats you.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

That is making the assumption that every pilot included in that 70% is actually mad at the Goons and isn't capable of accepting the game for what it is. I think you'll be sorely disappointed when you realise that isn't the case. If the ones that keep crying 'it's so unfair' unsub then good luck to them but I get the feeling it will be a minor ripple.

And that's also making the assumption that every pilot included in that 70% isn't a goon alt in and of themselves. Given that we're apparently over 9000 characters now, chances are a fairly sizeable amount of the chars in hisec are goon alts, if not at the very least a nullsec alt (which should in theory should mean they're less whiny dipshits).
