That is exactly the point! YOU HAVE TO SHIFT-CLICK every time you want to open a window separately! We NO like dis! UNDERSTAND?

so you are going to blow up the forums over something that is obviously something that you are only complaining about because you can? it's one extra click whoopdy do... they wont change that... so get over it and stop blowing up the forums, there are multiple other more important matter to be attended to by CCP than an extra mouse click... gtfo the forums

the issue is the client doesn't remember which windows you would like seperate. So once you close them and go do your business in space and come back, you would have to shift click it again.......and again..........and again.

You don't get it do you? It's changing something that really didn't need to be messed with, in a lot of people's opinions.

and as was said previously, DIDNT CCP PROMISE ON SISI, that for TQ, Inventory would remember the d*mn state of docked and undocked inventory windows, to not have to readjust for a docked state and undocked state!?!?!?!?!?

okay I'm tired of this I've just made a fresh character with no like history, let's make this really simple for CCP and the developers,

If you hate the new inventory system and think it should be optional or removed like this post. I will be posting the same thing in the issue thread . let's see how long it takes for this character to get 2000 Likes ... that should make our point painfully clear. If CCP even cares.

edit: I'm doing this this way because there doesn't seem to be any voting system for the forms

Just noting that as said since Unified Inventory went on SiSi, it still doesn't work. The original concept was good, but the implementation (Especially the rage-inducing element of redoing inventory every time you do anything) is woefully bad.
Also, floating cargo cans are a mess, and I haven't even tried to salvage anything yet.

Hotfix or rollback.

As posted on the previous page, the closing/reverting windows issue is a bug that will be fixed asap.

As posted during the last month, what about the rest of all the issues you have been made aware of sooooooo many times ?

I'll happily answer, but you'll need to specifically list an issue.

Here's my problem with the current build of the new UI on Sisi:

Let's say I start docked in Aldrat IX - Pator Tech School.

I open the Inventory and shift-click 'Ship Hangar' and 'Item Hangar' to open them in separate windows, then I move those two new 'Ship' and 'Item' windows to the top-right corner of my screen and resize them to show, let's say 4 rows and 4 columns. I also stack them so now I have a 'Ship Hangar' tab and an 'Item Hangar' tab.

Exhibit A: http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r555/CaptainPraxis/uitest/1.jpg

---== Issue #1 ==---
Now I undock, warp across Aldrat to the Caldari Business Tribunal station, and dock there. Lo and behold the 'Item Hangar' and 'Ship Hangar' windows I created have disappeared.

Exhibit B: http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/r555/CaptainPraxis/uitest/2.jpg

If I now click the 'Inventory' button on the Neocom I get the original Inventory window, and I then have to repeat the initial steps above to recreate my ships/item windows.

This happens every time I undock/redock, whether at the same station, a different station in the same system or in another system entirely.

On Tranquility, when I open these two windows and resize and arrange them how I want, they will open in the same position at the same size in every station when I dock. They will even remember which tab was selected!

Having this information instantly available whenever I dock is very useful - please don't make me have to do more clicking to get it

---== Issue #2 ==---
The ship hangar does not show my currently active ship, either in the list view or in the separate 'Ship Hanger' window created with a shift-click. On Tranquility all ships in the hangar are, well, listed in the hangar!

---== Issue #3 ==---
Let's return to the beginning where I had separated out the 'Ship Hangar' and 'Item Hangar' windows to the top-right of my screen (exhibit A).

Now if I click the 'Inventory' button on the Neocom, I get a side-menu asking me to choose either the 'Ship Hangar' or 'Item Hangar' to switch to instead of an Inventory window opening. Shift-clicking this button does exactly the same thing (i.e. nothing).

Now, my intuitive expectation is that clicking this button should open up an new Inventory window (or re-open the 'base' Inventory window). I'd be prepared to accept a shift-click for this functionality instead

---== Issue #4 ==---
The 'xxx isk Est. price' bar at the bottom of the Inventory windows is redundant for me in 99.5% of situations and is just wasting space. Please give me the option to turn it off!

---== Issue #5 ==---
The 'Open Drone Bay' option is missing from the context menu when I right-click my ship in the hangar.

--== Issue #6 ==---
Again, this is something that is very counter-intuitive to me:

Let's say I open up my ship's cargo hold in a separate window, move it to the LHS of my screen and resize it to show 2x3 items.

Now I undock and do some stuff in space. During the course of doing this stuff I drag my 'Ship Cargo' window over to the RHS of my screen. Now I dock up again. As soon as I do this my cargo window shifts back over to the LHS where I originally had it.

Please let my windows stay where I put them as they currently do on Tranquility!

---== Issue #7 ==---
When I double-click my ship in the main ship-spinny hangar view, it opens the "main" Inventory window instead of my smaller ship's 'Cargo Hold' window. It does this regardless of whether I have a 'Cargo Hold' window open or not...

Double-clicking a ship in this view really should just go straight to the cargo without opening a large Inventory window that covers two thirds of my screen.

That's all I've got for the time being, and so far I've only tested some of the more basic things I do in EVE like moving stuff around between stations. I haven't tested the UI functionality when I'm salvaging, hacking, running a mission or looting wrecks...

In its current state I have to say that I'm not looking forward to it being deployed on Tranquility

Edit Corp hanger does not open like it use to when right clicked.

Issue 1 (persisting windows):
As per my previous posts, this is a bug that should be fixed tomorrow

Issue 2 (not listing your active ship):
We’re going to add this in. It’s not as urgent as the bugs relating to window persistence, but we’ll try and get this in as soon as we can.

Issue 3 (not responding if the inventory is closed):
We’ll review this one. I’m not entirely sure what solution we’ll go with right now, but we’ll take a look at this one. Agree that this needs to be solved

Issue 4 (the est price):
We can’t guarantee that every piece of the UI fits your exact usecase. Information like this will continue to be available globally. By this logic every single piece of EVE should have an off button, which we won't do.

Issue 5 (drone bay):
We’re trying to thin down the right click menu right now, as having a load of options there is very ungraceful. Instead of right clicking the ship and then selecting the dronebay, you can access it through clicking your ship and then selecting drone bay. Should be the...

Judging by you killboard record and your age in game, I can tell that you have close to NONE experience in PVP and industry, manufacturing, inventions, POS's and about any other aspect of the game besides rating in null sec, but I will give you an insight.

Most of the times in any of the above activities you have to manage MULTIPLE windows and when it comes to PVP, time is of the essence. It is not as easy as you think, it is not only "one extra click", but multiple extra clicks over and over again and browsing through that tree inventory window every time you want to do whatever. It might not seem too complicated for you, but for someone that does more than ratting and managing a couple of ships IT IS.

Thank you and now pls GTFO!

in short.
- new stealth bombers look awesome and mean (except amarr. looks like a frikkin hauler)
- missile effects rock my socks!
- new inventory is horrible. bad. HORRIBAD. roll it back.
- when my corpmates log out, their name still shows on corp chat/local/other channels. rather annoying trying to talk to someone that has logged off 20 minutes ago. fix it please.

It was exactly as i waited. You didn't raised maximum distance for moving items between POS structures. In result I can see all the structures in the inventory window, but when I try to move item from corp-hangar to far-away assembly array, I receive a message: "Maximum distance for moving items is 3000 meters". So I have to move closer to assembly array as it was before the patch.
And there is another problem with corp-hangar divisions. I always used only one division, so when I opened the content of structure I saw the right default division. Now I should select my division each time I open any structure. This fact gonna drive me insane if I should move a lot of items between structures to start my industry jobs.

Few things:

This, after clearing cash, and checking on multiple clients:

1) Missile's don't seem to show the impact-grapic anymore ( the nice firework )
- love the new trail tho ;p -
"they show like they just dissepair in the target"

2) Laggy as hell UI , example -> salvage a site,
draw all wrecks, salvage them, open all cans ( shift-click) to loot them all in "serie"
Client keeps updating the noctis-cargohold - at least-, trying to keep up.

3) at least allow us to have 2 item-windows open, so you can just drag stuff to a ship cargohold or container
without having to "go back' to the ship to drag the next item.

4) and for the people with acces to a tower, please o please be able to "hide" guns , you make me cry

…in particular, you want to set up your windows to give you all you need before anything happens so that, once stuff start to explode, you can use your mouse to click frantically in space and/or the overview and keep your hands on ye olde F1-F8 to make things other than yourself explode — those windows you set up remain open and unchanged no matter what and you can just shift your eyes over to them and at a glance see that ohcrapohcrapOHCRAP! you're on your last cap charge!

Asking people to move the mouse away from the overview and to do additional finger dancing just to open and (re)set windows that should be completely static and that should already show what you need to know without having to fiddle with the UI means a fundamental lack of understanding of how the inventory windows are actually used and why efficiency and reliability is paramount.

So, could we...like...not refer to FW plexes as dungeons in player notifications? Because...like...some of us are playing EVE and not other games for a reason...and dungeons aren't exactly what gives EVE appeal.

just because i have a 2010 character doesnt mean that i dont have knowledge about game mechanics, so before you make snap judgements why dont you keep your mouth shut before someone shuts it for you... and as for the inventory problem.. hte more people that blow up the forums the more CCP isnt going to read each individual post because they all say the same thing, so they are just going to skim through them, which directs attention away from other issues that also need to be adressed, and sure maybe the invetnory system didnt need to be changed, but people have been able to check it out for a while now and yet next to noone has had a problem with it until today? Rolling it back would take a large amount of work considering the fact that if they did it would most likely cause even more problems with other features of the game. so unless you want to experience more problems than get solved stop blowing up the forums about the bloody unified inventory...

Image of inability to decide which corp hangar is which and which SMA is which. We need to be able to rename the modules with this new UI or there is no point in automatically showing the ones in range. For a lowly null pos where you have one sma/cha it's fine. For wspace towers with loads of residents it just fails.
