Logic behind not introducing Ancillary Shield Booster II's?

I don't understand the logic of testing the water with only T1 variants.

I would love to use an X-L Ancillary Shield Booster on a few fits but as it stands the T1 version just doesn't have a good enough boost/cap ratio to make it worth it, hence I am not going to use it. If everyone does this then surely CCP will get the idea that nobody wants them, when we would if only we could use a T2 version.

Basically I think they are going to see how the t1 variant works before introducing the meta and t2 varieties.

my observations: It is only good on shield boosting bonused ships, or cap troubled gank fit ships. Outside of this role, no real use.

If it gives good enough boost, it saves a midslot and midslots and precious in pvp.

But nobody is going to use the T1 variant as only a T2 variant would be worth fitting! If I were running missions or for some reason pvping with a shield + cap booster I would not swap down to a T1 ancillary booster, even if it is a little better as a module type, if I could fit a T2 standard booster and a T2 cap booster.

Spoken like someone who has never used a 5 TP Golem with a two slot tank.

Anyhoo, it's a prototype only available via drops(?). The BPO and T2 version (plus any tweaks based on feedback and observations based on live field testing) should happen soon/eventually.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I don't like how they introduced a lot of the mods this time around T1 = BPO seeded, keep it simple like that. Than I wouldn't mind it if they introduced all the meta and T2 at the same time, I slightly understand why they did it this way, it makes it easier to see how it is used and if it needs to be rebalanced and balancing 1 item versus all items of one type is a lot easier and won't **** people off as much.

For PVP I can see myself fitting one of these new modules, for PVE I might if it came down to fitting one of these or a shield amplifier and I wasn't cap stable, which would be on quite a few ships I can think of off hand. Purely as a last ditch, opps I got distractred and drew full room aggro with all triggers and did a few other stupid things let me hit this and GTFO.
