Add the ability for seperate ship hangar and item hangar buttons on the neocom. I don't want to open inventory and right click each one for a new window every time I open a client.

Also, keep the active ship shown in the ship hangar with the rest, bordered. It disconcerts me to not see mine own ships in the ship hangar

Hell, just give me a way to disable this new inventory and revert back to the old gui.

Issue: POS guns take up a large portion of the drop down menu in the Starbase Structures inventory tab due to their ammo hold.

Fix: Give Defenses their own expandable tab within the Starbase Structures tab, allowing it be minimized to a single tab.

best improvement to the inventory system? change it back.

the new one takes up more space to show less and it's quite frankly **** and offers nothing but irritation over the old ui.

My opinion about the new "inventory" system:
We live in a wormhole, so we do all of our little things on pos. Now, thats became a nightmare.

Just imagine: you're trying to put items to a corp hangar from an another hangar.
Until now you have opened a hangar, selected a div, opened the other hangar selected div and drag&dropped the item.
Now: You are opening a hangar, selecting a div. After that you opening the other hangar with shift+click (because without that it will use the same window), selecting a div and drag&drop items.

If you are doing this a hundred times a day, it will be annoying like hell.

Other negatives:
- the index isn't customisable (lists ALL pos modules with cargo, including the pos turrets)
- corporation hangars and ship bays still unrenamable, it makes the inventory system uncomfortable
- you can't hide the estimated price, it's mostly useless function
- the system dont make a difference between your cargohold and other bays. when you resize a window, it will resize your cargohold...
- if you are change the sorting of a hangar, that will change the sorting the others. Thats make pos life difficult a lot...

Just a thought: my new pet peeve: the new inventory manager closes every time I warp to a new system or dock or undock. Give me the option to leave it open regardless, or to have it close every time I warp, dock, or undock. I've brought back up the old style inventory windows in the meantime because I don't like having to reopen a window I'm using every 2-10 minutes.

All I care about is fast navigation, this new fansy UI only slows things down, while leaving out pretty obvious features like making shortcuts.

Right click ship hangar on the navigation bar, add shortcut to menu bar. It's that simple.

Oh and the window that opens from clicking that should NOT show the navigation bar. It'll be just like the glory days of pre 22nd may 2012. Ugh

edit: I seriously don't understand how this UI was moved to tranquility, any long time player can tell you it's terrible. It's not finished but oh boy does it look flashy! Straight

Issue1: Drag and Drop an Item (Veldspar in my Case) to the Item Hanger Iteme produces an single Item. After some Splash N Dash runs i have a lot of Single Items in my Hangar.

Fix1: Automatic Staking. If a new Item is dropped into the Hangar and an Items exists with the same, they will be stacked automaticly.

Issue2: Overview Issue with all the Guns and Stuff.

Fix2: Group Items by Category. High Slot (sub Category: Lasers, Hybrid, Rockets, etc...(Sub Category: Capital, Large, Mid)), Mid Slot, Low Slot, Blueprints etc... or Guns, Drones, Armor Hardeners. In Colums so you close, for Example the Ore Category and the Guns if not needed. I could make a Mind Map if needed.

After tons of negative feedback about the new UI while it was in testing, how should we know this feedback won't be ingored as well?

Here is my feedback:

Inventory Opens randomly when jumping, docking and undocking
Inventory Opens at random location, especially when using multiple windows
Inventory doesn't update properly when using multiple windows
Multiple windows are lost upon jumping, docking and undocking
Due to the above managing your inventory takes loads of extra time, either by having to open and position all the windows again or because finding the right container in the drop down list takes ages.
POS management is Insane and impossible, The amount of guns hangars and whatnot just clogs up the bar and makes it a chore to manage

In short, the new inventory system looks nice, but It slows management to a crawl and doesn't work except for the most basic functions (and the sorting which is beautifull btw)

Idea It would be nice if the option "open in a new window" when clicked in the UI would remain as a new window when undocking and then docking again. Idea

This UI takes up so much real estate in my 21.5" monitor just to get some basic functionality that it's almost pointless. Ugh

Was it necessary to have the Corporation Hanger added to the UI? (If I have it the size I used to have my Corp Hanger) scrolling backwards and forwards to drop stuff in my personal hanger while holding down the Left Mouse Button is simply ridiculous. I do know there is a deliver to member context menu which is 4 clicks away when it used to be "Click-Hold-Drag-Drop" simple.

It looks fantastic...but practically it's awful. Give us the option to separate out the windows we want and customise how our Inventory is displayed. This "All-In-One Solution" hasn't delivered what it was promised to do.

I think the biggest problem I have with it is that even if I separate my Cargo Hold out from the UI and nest it in another window when I dock up it goes back into the UI. But it all nests in the last location that a "open in a new window" window was placed.

An improvement if the UI is to remain would be:

  1. Let Cargo Hold and Drone Bay be two separate windows that can be removed from and never return to the UI unless nested (Like the old way). This would enable them to be nested in other windows or as permanent stand alone windows
  2. Add an option to merge the Corporation Hanger into the Station Services bar. No more, holding and a scrolling.

All in I absolutely despise the new UI and it's lack of customisation in regards to separating the windows out permanently.

Unfortunately I have to agree, it's very annoying. Sad

Before I had issues only with always closed inventory / ship hangar windows when undocking but it's even worse.

New inventory UI

First off, in WH operations, the new inventory is a nightmare, please change it back to seperate windows for hangers, cargobay, and deffiently for cargo containers for us miners/harvesters. Or better yet, make the UI custamizable where those of us who prefer the old inventory UI able to set ours up like that, and those that prefer the new UI to do so.

also everytime we warp, the inventory screen opens up, and if we are typing midjump, the text curser automatically moved to the inventory viewer filter box

I to wish to give my 2 cents off this shioty hangar bulshit wath is made now:
1. if i move out hangar its ned to stay there wath ever i do warp jump relog crach its ned to stay all ways at the same place where i puted it.
2. way the hell is no hangar filtering option i dont need to see at my POS all battery hangars they ned to be out off inventorry or made separate filtering for them.
3. Now work with POS tings is teribull i see now all hangars wath there silos everiting and cant tell if my ship is in rage to acces it or not if you wished to make so that remove access range in POS complitly that is posbul to work with new inventory IU.

CREATE A WINDOWS FOLDER SETTINGS for the UI

Let people choose what automatically open in new windows or not
re/enable simpler folder views as an option, selectable for topics
disable the make active ship when clicking on the tab menu and re-establish the open cargohold instead
why it's not possible to shift+double click to open giant containers in separated windows? ( when opening a cargohold of a stored vessel) ~~~

in the meanwhile...

ISSUE: Unified Inventory

FIX: Remove it

It complicates the simple, disorganizes the organized, and hides what was clearly visible before. An open window shows what is in a particular storage spot or container. Not any more. No idea to tell what is where, how much space is left, or individual quantities unless all the windows are opened and dragged out, EXACTLY THE WAY IT USED TO BE. How was this thought to be an "improvement"?

Set the new unimproved inventory to OFF as default, because it is mostly useless and poorly thought out. If the inventory is deemed useful be some brave soul, make it an OPTION to have the windows either open on their own, or to stay nested. MAYBE there is some situation where it might actually be useful, but I have yet to find it. In the new unimproved inventory, it makes the window frames larger than they used to be, taking up more space, and to open multiple windows, so you can actually ORGANIZE things, it takes even more screen space than before. Fail. For mining and dealing with orcas, it is a giant step backwards in usability and organization.

Add to all the obfuscation, the problems of:

- windows positions aren't saved
- windows close every time you dock/undock, or gate jump
- un-nested windows aren't saved either in position or size.
- windows randomly open and close when you warp

Put the inventory back the way it was, when it was ORGANIZED and NOT BROKEN. As I said, either make the "new" inventory an option, or remove it entirely. One thing that IS useful (as i assume it is tied to local market prices) is the little isk calculator, BUT, it also takes up way more screen space than before, so make that an option too. Also, KEEP THE FILTERS OPTION. Filters are GOOD, and with easily selected (and USER DEFINED) filters in a drop down menu, it is much easier to organize and manage inventory in addition to using standard containers. Maybe even the filters could generate their own windows that could be nested or dragged out.

BRUTAL. EPIC FAIL. Make the "new" inventory an OPTION like it's equally useless sibling, "the captain's quarters". Ugh

EDIT PS: Something that is acutally USEFUL, AUTOSTACK ITEMS. Like, really, WTF? Why do we still have to tell it to stack-all TWICE to get it to stack and sort, or stack, and then sort it manually?? If you undock, all items are autostacked and sorted. When you dock, same thing. When you add an item to inventory, SAME THING. At the same time, for people who need to or want to stack and divide items for trade, transfer selling, whatever, MAKE IT AN OPTION TO TURN ON/OFF THE AUTO SORT/STACK FEATURE, and put it either in general settings, or better yet, in a right click menu for each inventory window.
