Graphical Option to scale Subcap ships.

There should be a 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x option to increase the model scaling of all sub cap ships.

Then put the capitals on a separate slider per class. That means Carriers have their own slider, Dreads have their own, Super carriers have their own and titans. Also rorq and orca would get one.

Finally there would be an individual option for you own ship.

Also, since there are many idiots on the forums, this would be for your client only and thus only you would experience your own settings.

Pointless, just reduce your Field of View to get a sense of flying a bigger ship.

This can be done by holding ctrl or shift (can't remember which) while holding both left and right mouse button, and dragging your mouse

Actually it's to make everyone else seem larger, not you. Also a field of view decrease would also decrease the amount of ships you could actually see in your cone of vision. This option is for people who want to see something else other than purple and red squares in a fight.

EDIT:
Also the current version is terrible and the only thing that you see if the rear end of your own ship (unless there's an option to hide your own ship somewhere).

Since the hitbox for each ship would stay the same to not make this a gamebreaking feature, you'd see ships going through eachother all over the place.. One big graphical glitchfest :p

So? I'd prefer it that way instead of the current. No one would force you to keep the option on yourself either.

Also on 4x and 8x setting this still would not occur as often as you would think. On a 16x or 32x it would happen a lot. Each time you scale a ship by 2, it's volume increases 8 times, since you must cube the scaling factor.

I am aware of how scaling works :p.. In any case i believe this would do more harm than good... Tons of youtube videos featuring ridiculously disproportionate ships, making eve look bad! ;p.

In any case it'd be unrealistic (yes i know we're talking about eve..) for smaller ships to be visible at extreme ranges.

Yes. Would deviate from spreadsheets online a little and most likely increase subs from REAL new players (not alt accounts).

As the OP said, so what? No one is forcing you to use the option.
