If your dedication to EVE is such you don't want to go to that extreme, give them $20 to put the Industrial char on the back end of a PvP char account. Industrial is for Alts in EVE. Treat it as such.

Maybe the slackers and grammar ***** need to take a vacation to a country where few people speak english, get out of the all inclusive resort and stumble around trying to use their bad grammatical excuse for whichever native language it is and be laughed at by the locals there to see how it can be.Twisted

I spoke better English than the OP when I was a first-grader in Eastern Europe. What he did wasn't communication, it was genocide. He literally killed all the words.

In real life one of the biggest downfalls of law enforcement is that agencies don't communicate with one another.

I find it incredibly ironic that on the internet, the grammar police don't talk to the definition police.

Eh? It took me about a month to figure out that this game was mostly all about EXTORTION, MURDER and NOOBRAPE.

It is how to avoid all that is what playing the game actually is.

Ganking is simply FAR to easy. When I can roll alts on trial accounts to gank to my hearts content if I wished for pennies a day...literally... on the most undefended targets in all of Eve its just griefing imo.

Ganking is only easy because victims make it easy..

A Cata cannot blow up a tanked Hulk.. But people go out, in untanked ships and get poped. Until they learn that proper defense is the first step to survival, not whining, then they have no one to blame but themselves.

I enjoy mining, Its nice to make a lot of ISK and enjoy the perks that come along with it. Although I do feel bad for anyone that loses their hulk during Hulkageddon, I also wonder if they actually take the time to think about the risks of mining with a ship that cannot be insured at the price you paid for it. But if you believe you can afford the loss and the risk is worth it, then good luck to you. I however cannot afford a loss like that, I do not fly a Hulk during Hulkageddon. The very first advice I was given in EVE is this. "Don't fly what you cannot afford to replace." This was a harsh reality when I lost my first Raven years ago and was pretty much broke.

But as a miner I've always been cautious. I stay at the computer to watch for anyone trying to can flip or incoming rats. I also don't like to mine where there is a lot of things going on in local. I try to stay away from the hubs unless I'm hauling.

One thing I hear a lot is that you should tank your Hulk. I honestly don't think that this will help in anyway unless your in 0.9 or 1.0 systems due to the quicker response times by concord. (I can be wrong and a Hulk might be tankable, I'm just not going to risk it..) I think that if someone wants to gank you, and your afk or not paying attention, then its going to happen. But if someone pops my covetor, I can replace it with the insurance payout plus some extra from my own EVE wallet. It honestly wont bother me because I understand the risks I take if I mine during this time. This is a game where PVP happens, Empire Space is protected but its not SAFE. So if you take out a ship that you cannot afford to replace, then you should prepare yourself that there is a chance that you might lose that ship.

One thing I like about the Goons is that they actually do something with this game. They make things interesting, and I hope that does not change anytime soon. This is the 5th Hulkageddon, there will probably be a 6th and 7th. You might want them to respect your small world of the game, but since the first day you started playing, the simple rules have always stayed the same. Empire Space does not = Safe Space and don't fly what you cannot afford to replace.

This month I have ran missions, ratted, traded and hauled items and enjoyed every minute of it.. I have also learned a few new things about the game that I wouldn't have had I been mining. (Scanning down sites and such) I also have risking a couple of mining ops where I d scanned a hole heck of a lot, checked people in local and often checked the recent Hulkageddon kills on their website to see where a lot of the action is happening and who I should look out for. (Just about everyone on the top lists have been added to my contacts.)

So yes, I do a lot more then most miners do, but I also enjoy what I do and that's what its all about.

I'm sorry to hear about everyone's losses. Use it as a learning experience and move on. Smaller ships take on larger ones all the time, just watch "Whale Wars." (Which might also be a good name for a Freighter killing event!)

So with that being said, have fun, fly safe and smart.

I can’t believe CCP allows this Kind of Exploiting in the Game

How in the Hell are you Going to make Isk in the dam Game if you can’t even min in high sec save any more.

Exploiting is Ben going on in EVE for Year and CCP Want do A dam thing about it. And now you got these guys doing this to papal in the game it want be long and tell CCP looses all their customers.

Don't mine in a system 3 jumps from Amarr, which looks to be on the route to 3 systems with ice fields.

You lost your Hulk because you made a mistake, ignored all the recommendations on how to avoid ganks, and accepted the exceptional risk of mining during Hulkageddon.

As a fellow miner after i read this i would have to agree. keeping your wits about you during H5 is a wise precaution, and the sage advise of "dont fly what you cant replace" is also wise. having said that i would have to agree that i feel that the game mechanics do need some tweeking. even with risits higher than 78% on all catagoies it still doesent change the fact that there just is not much HP to the hulk to take on several determined gankers. now please dont mistake me here, i lost my hulk not they took it from me. i undocked, i flew to that belt, and i diddent get out in time. even though i was in .7 the concord is not a preventive force, but rather more of a slight vengence one. regarless i still feel the hulk could use some tweeking as said earilyer. but also in mho it is WAY to easy to be a ganker as many of you have already pointed out, and other than that it has already been said before. now, going to the origional post, DUDE THE GUY IS TRYING TO EXTORT YOU!!! DONT BE STUPID. this kind of scaming happens, its not ccp's fault here. just send him a email back (or dont) telling him to shove it.

Great post,
I know a lot of new players that are leaving the game or thinking of it, The Goons are the “punks” in the game, they used to be a part of Band of Brothers till CCP made them disband after BOB was found to have Items that were not even in the game. Now they call them self’s the goons and come up with fake items like that just to rip players off, they get there joy from making players leave the game, which is how they believe they win the game. CCP and the Goons are one and the same and there do not care about the players in the game only the Goons.
Point is that even if there was only Goons in the game they only know how to play one way, and that is to take advantage of other’s

PS, one idea is you mine out ALL 1.0 to 0.8 systems and when all the new players ask for there money back from CCP, dou to Concord being so slow, and The Goons having free run of the game, CCP might do some thing. Make CCP lose some of there $$$$ and they get off there asses.

My only gripe about Hulkageddon was that I ended up grinding rep with an NPC corp in a backwater area to 6.67 to get a full yield only to discover that THAT particular station only has a base 25% refine instead of 50% like most others. No wonder nobody was there.

LOL,

If you do not think that the Goon's and CCP are one in the same look at the EVE Vegas, is is being ran buy the Goons.

http://www.evevegas2.com/ and then https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=103274&find=unread

If you still go not get it that Goon' = CCP then you must be a goon.
