Filthy.. debatable.

Self-serving.. definitely.

Megalomaniac... yes, and I would be hard pressed to find a pod pilot who isn't.

So what was your original point that I proved? If you're panties are all in a bunch because I'm selfish... well I'm not arguing that, so what are we fighting about exactly?

I'll happily admit I was wrong to expect praise from the Amarr, I guess I don't know anything about you people, except that you're morons.

Care to back up that allegation that I am also a moron, caldari scum?

More typical responses from a witless caldari, with their superiority complex, but no content to explain themselves intellectually.

He then reads aloud the above quote and facepalms, dragging his hand down his face slowly until it rests over his mouth, covering it. He then closes his eyes and shakes his head, saying nothing further as the camera fades out.*

Forgive the un-diplomatic language, but you came on here waving your metaphorical c*** in everyones face expecting people to be impressed or apalled, you backtracked on your statements and expectations, and when it became clear you weren't and never were going to be the new hot topic you moved into some childish attempt at hyping yourself up with your "selfishness".

An oft quoted phrase to end: "Woah, looks like we got a badass over here"

If I thought you would listen, I'd offer some.

But no, just trolling in a troll thread.

Don't we all wish we could be as cool as him? He's Gallente and he owns slaves! He's so edgy.

You don't need to apologize to him for anything, Mr. Makari.

I don't think I backtracked on any of my statements, and never expected to be the hot new topic, only felt like starting a discussion, which I did, and now I'm defending myself from people trying to bite my head off.

Good afternoon.

I have avoided IGS for a time, and know that later I may regret speaking on this topic.

That being said, lets through caution to the wind and just jump right in.

Being a Gallentian businessman I understand philosophically Mr. Aramaus preference for unfettered capitalism.

But slavery, in a “free” society?

Libertarianism has deep roots in our Federation, as do many other philosophies.

So for arguments sake let’s pose Mr. Aramaus’s question like this.

Should then, an individual in a “free” economic system be allowed to sell him or herself into “slavery”. In the Federation slavery is illegal, therefore human earning potential is forbidden by law to be capitalized. Thus a man is not free to sell himself, but is allowed to rent himself at a wage.

Since every “sale” implies a price, a quid pro quo, if you will; can an equivalent be given for life, and liberty, both of which after the “sale” are held at the owner’s disposal?

Therefore I would argue that slavery isn’t a valid capital exchange for the following reason alone.

Now his “property” also then, is the very price he seems to receive, devolves to the owner, the instant he becomes a “slave”. In this case, therefore, the buyer gives nothing, and the seller receives nothing: of what validity, then can a sale be, which destroys the very principles upon which all sales are founded?

Just a thought.

Wonderful contribution, Msr. Syagrius.

I don't believe this person is a slaver at all. I don't believe he has slaves.

He's one of those fetishists with a penchant for bondage and control. It's a sexual thing with this guy, an egotistical perversion. So proud is he of his 'slaves', he feels the need to proclaim it to us so we might be jealous of his little harem.

We're not, so now he's upset.

EDIT:

Or, more likely, this entire thread is a troll. He's just stirring the pot to attempt a rise out of us.

We didn't, so now he's upset.

I truly appreciate the first intellectual and non-hostile response from you Mr. Syagrius. This is the kind of discussion I was hoping to start.
