Caldari can only active shield tank, except the drake. This means that they need to be able to do it very well.

I propose that all caldari ships get a role bonus of a 200% shield boost amount.

caldari also get range boosts out the ass. Learn to kite. Not in the rats or opponents optimals, take less damage. Simple to implememt. Next bs bash if like the 200 times before fc drops all bs' on the same warp in meant for the pests and apocs, add you own fudge factor of +xy km's based on gun/ammo/skill setup.

the pests and apocs become your meatshields as they will get tagged first most times, you are in enemies falloff to take less damage...win win for you. Do not put yourself so far out to be setup for easy flanking . Keep you distance but don't look like you are keeping your ditance. Fly casual lol....

I can fly an Astarte and I can fly a Vulture.

I prefer the Vulture. dual Optimals bonus puts me at 11km Neutron/ Void optimal. Let the Basilisk play cleric.

Despite being Caldari myself, i too would lie to propose a general "fixing" of caldari.

There are way too many young clueless characters trying to post on these forums, there are surgeries available in every clone bay that will lessen the strain on these forums with the young and foolish rants.

I've seen passive tanks on a lot of Caldari ships. They work especially well in missions where you can speed tank without worry of transversal (missiles help in that respect a lot). Also, since passive usually has more buffer than an active tank, it means you can stand to get shot at hard a little more than a full active tank could.

The "only" problem with that would be that ALL Caldari ships are too slow to kite,
have the worst sensor resolution of all ships (whereas they are told to be technological superior...),
have the largest possible signature radii of all ships, cannot project any kind of damage at long ranges (railguns are the worst guns in the game with ammo that even worsen that),
with maybe two exceptions,
have been screwd over at x-max 2006,
have the lowsest possible dps on any kinds of brawling setups possible.

Yep caldari needs fixed.

Knock the tengus lock range down to 65, reduce heavy missile launcher flight time by 50%.

Fix the drake, its overused for a reason.

I know I shouldn't feed the troll but I can't help my self.

It might be overused because it's the only 1 of 12 T1 battlecruisers that has more than 3 Launcher hardpoints.

where there are 11 with more than 3 turret hardpoints

3 with bonuses for projectiles weapons

5 with bonuses for hybride weapons

and 3 with bonuses for lasers.

It would make sense that a race meant to Kite would have fast enough ships to do it.
