I'd be tempted to go Invuln + Kin for the belt ratting fit - Guristas do a far whack of thermal. Have you tried that?

thermal is only 20% of their damage, while kinetic is 80%.

I wouldn't mission in anything worth > 1billion without some sort of omnitank.

read the question for that answer. belt ratting in gurista space. battleships are way overtanked for that and are very slow are jumping between belts

Manticore ;D

A Manticore actually works pretty well for belt ratting in Guristas space. Just make sure to fit a target painter and kill the webbing frigates first. I'll just leave this here:

[Manticore, Manticore copy 1]
Ballistic Control System II
Ballistic Control System II

Experimental 1MN Afterburner I
Gistii B-Type Small Shield Booster
Cap Recharger II
Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron

Siege Missile Launcher II, Trauma Torpedo
Siege Missile Launcher II, Trauma Torpedo
Siege Missile Launcher II, Trauma Torpedo
[empty high slot]
Covert Ops Cloaking Device II

Small Bay Loading Accelerator II
Small Capacitor Control Circuit I

518 DPS with T1 ammo. Combination of speed tank and booster tanks any belt spawn - as long as you don't get webbed, then you are an expensive lolmail.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Hey all,

I am in need of a ship that can easily dispatch Gurrista ships from afar. I can use all BSs except the Kronos, and i don't have T2 blasters yet.

I thought about: Mael - long or short range, not too fast
Tempest - Quicker, can be a lot of fun, not as tanky
Typhoon Fleet - fast, craptonne of DPS, not much tank at all
Golem/Vargur - very tanky, can 'love' them from afar but weak sig strength
Mach - very fast, awesome, 7 guns and long range means it can 'love' many ships from afar
Tengu - **** boring, awesome tank, average DPS, boring
Loki - Fast and fun, good DPS, decent tank
Proteus - awesome DPS, fast and fun

Other options are a CNR, Rattlesnake, SNI... anyone have a ship that works for them?

Are we talking missions, belt ratting or complexes?

Micro Auxiliary Power Core I

Target Painter II
Target Painter II
1MN Afterburner II
Medium Shield Extender II

'Arbalest' Siege Missile Launcher, Trauma Torpedo

Covert Ops Cloaking Device II
Core Probe Launcher II, Core Scanner Probe I

Small Warhead Calefaction Catalyst I
Small Polycarbon Engine Housing I

Also.... NEW MODELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol

For ratting:

[Gila, Null Ratting]
Damage Control II
Ballistic Control System II
Capacitor Power Relay II
Capacitor Power Relay II

Experimental 10MN Afterburner I
Kinetic Deflection Field II
Thermic Dissipation Field II
Medium Shield Booster II
'Copasetic' Particle Field Acceleration
Cap Recharger II

Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II
Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II
[empty high slot]
[empty high slot]

Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Medium Rocket Fuel Cache Partition I

Hornet II x5
Vespa II x5
Wasp I x5
Hobgoblin II x5
Hammerhead II x5
Ogre I x5

Cap stable; range of ~30k with the missiles; best of all, the drones chew through stuff even if you're jammed.

Anoms and belt ratting mostly

As previously mentioned, for anomalies and belt ratting, you cannot go wrong with an Ishtar. It has good DPS even when jammed, good mobility, and a great tank against Guristas.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

If you like Loki, you should try Sleipnir. It's cheaper, have more DPS than Loki even in arty fit, can be fitted fully with T2 modules without significant impact to the tank or dps.

ps: Ishtar and Gila = booooring drone slowboats.

Belt ratting in droneboats is annoying.

The new tier 3 like the talos in another post or a naga (rails are awesome for guristas too) are perfect for the job: cheap, great range, fast, great dps, just enough tank .

However when it comes to anoms and especially plexes i would favor more tank and then the ishtar shines with its awesome tank and resists profile. You can of course get a billion + isk ship if you are rich, not patient, and self-confident, but for the price of a mildly pimp tengu or mach you can have your plex ishtar (which soloes up to 8/10 Guristas plexes) plus a belt ratting Tier 3, and around a billion of pocket money. Cool

This. 1800 HP/s passive shield tank. No ammo. 450 dps on 1 damage type.

There is a probability that such a ship will be getting RR, so having a resist only tank should be fine. i think an armour tank would be better here, even with the new drone damage mods coming out, i can fit a couple of Omni's and other things that way
