well i have gone though a few forums here and found that a hand full of players that dare to speak there minds and then got trolled or even talking about something else and got trolled

well i know that i not taking sides but still is the goal to run players off this game or what

Yeah because the trolls here couldn't keep their mouths shut if their lives depended on it and unfortunately for the rest of us...it doesn't.

unfortunately trolls are the most vocal creatures, their responses always stick in your mind and overshadow any other posters

This is the internet, everyone gets trolled.. you wanna speak your opinion about something, go outside and talk to actual people. If you wanna talk about a video game, talk to someone who is interested in it as well or just stop giving a crap. It wont change anything anyways.

If you ask a question or put forward something of interest you will be taken seriously


If you are just a whining ***** or someone who wants the game changed for there own benefit then you are fair game and will be taken apart by the trolls

If you speak your mind in a clear and intelligent manner, there is no issue. If you come here posting like you have a 3rd grade education and start whining or complaining, then you can GTFO

The way I see it, EvE is alot like current American politics. No matter what you say about the game, whether it be constructive or non-constructive criticism or just suggestions to improve the game, someone from one side of the aisle will stand up and begin a relentless assault on why you are wrong, and why you are what's wrong with the game, and belittle you. Followed by members from the other side of the aisle counter-attacking and declaring why you are right and why the other side is what's wrong with the game. Meanwhile the rest of us watch the ensuing debate with mild interest, but everyone knows at the end of the day nothing productive ever gets done and life goes on.

And most of these dweebs learned the techniques in their Debate Teams. Never was a more worthless but damaging mechanic introduced into the American Educational system. It teaches to argue even points that one internally disagrees with without concience or candor. It's obviously quite deadly even, tbh. Deadly for our culture. But this deesrves it's own threadnaught, so enough.

I'm not here to be popular. Trolls and propaganda squads are just part of the meta in EVE.

It's really the Jita effect anyway. There are only around 30 of them, they just make alot of noise. Of course if you remove them the forums go very, very dead. Much like Jita local.

To speak your mind you have to take these into account:

Social Setting (forum you are in i.e. General).

! Forum Rules !

Your target Audiance.

Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation along with proper pargraphs to deter the grammar nazi's.

Context, context, context!

Finally, A thick skin.


Freedom of speech is not free around here, you can face in game actions from other players and these forums are not a democracy. Once you understand that, post away.
