You get all these rookie training materials, such as civilian afterburne or civilian codebreaker etc.

these things are useless once you have completed training right? its only for the first few introduction missions, and completly useless in the "real" eve world right?

Basically yes. Some items only works in tutorials (e.g. civilian salvager). Others can be used outside tutorials (e.g. civilian afterburner) but non-civilian modules are so much better that you should get them as soon as possible.

EDIT: One interesting exception is a ship which does all damage with drones. In such a ship you often want single weapon which is only used to get NPC enemies attack you before you launch drones. Some players uses a civilian weapon here, since they dont need ammo and it doesn't matter how much damage weapon does in this case.

All civilian items work in the wider game except the analyser, codebeaker and salvager.

It's useful to hang on to the others (afterburner, shield booster etc) while your fitting skills are low as you might be able to use them in situations where you are unable to fit anything else.

is it possible to use the autopilot, so he will automatically go from a location to another even if these locations demand multiple jumps? and will he warp from one gate to another or just fly at maximum speed??

To use autopilot, set any solarsystem or station as destination and click "A" button left of your capacitor display.

Autopilot will warp you to 15km from next stargate, then fly at maximum speed that 15km before going through stargate. And repeat that until at destination.

Because of that 15km travel autopilot is slower than flying manually (where you can just warp right next to stargate), but in fast ship like frigate/shuttle it isn't that bad. Just remember never to autopilot in expensive ship or with expensive cargo or you will be killed even in highsec.

(If you set station as destination, autopilot will dock to that station. If solarsystem is destination, autopilot will stop once you are in right solarsystem and leave you in space near stargate.)

^ This and also yet again something easily found out yourself by just doing it

I never had questions about the autopilot I just tried stuff out (back in the day where you couldn't autopilot to a station).

Photo has been removed.

And about the items / ships you have, you just sell what you think you won't be needing anymore.

I still have a load of stuff from my early days, mostly sentimental value (like the first 3 frigates I used). Loads of modules that I progressed on (like T1 tank stuff) have been sold though as I never will use them again, and if I need them I can just rebuy them from market.

hey, on your information hub what is around you (right upper corner of the screen) most players have green boxes with a small star by them. others have yellow boxes with a skull symbol.

what do these symbols and colors mean?

there are 2 different types of implants:

Slot 1 - 5 = attribute implants (each attribute has a slot)
Slot 6 - 10 = hardwiring (alters certain things like refining efficiency, Speed boost of MWD, etc.)

You can have 1 in each if you want.

As for cloning:

Actually it is essential to know the very basics of it from Day 1 you play, ergo:

- Always keep your clone updated to your skillpoints
- When you get podded you loose the implants
- When you get podded you need to update your clone straight away.

Adv stuff like jumpclones etc is only needed to know when you are going to use them.

And yet again, most stuff you ask here is all very very good explained on the EVE wiki, so try to search for it there as you will likely find your answer

trying to set my short cuts and I am having a few issues: the release drone button is F, I want the call all drones back short cut to be shift + f. yet I cant do that, it will only take either shift or f but not a combination of both keys. what am I doing wrong?

also: I cant learn the scout drone skill so I can start having normal drones not just the civilian drones. I have the drone skill on level 1 so I dont know why I cant start skilling the scout drone skill

I'm getting more and more the feeling this is just another troll attempt
But if genuine:

1.) Don't know about shortcuts as I never use them besides the standard 'ctrl' to lock stuff.

2.) You can't learn it because you haven't met the pre-requirements.

EDIT:

Also, EVE isn't a handheld game. You have to find stuff out yourself by looking around and reading stuff.

2 things

1) not trolling. have never done something so stupid never will.

2)would be helpful if you would read my post through. there is one pre-requirement, as I wrote which I already met, as I wrote. that ones called drone level 1. already have researched it. no other prequirement is given, and yet I still cant research it. anybody else have any ideas?

Okay:

Skilling 101:

1.) Have I met the pre-requirements?
Yes - you can train the skill
No - you first need to train the pre-requirements

2.) Have you bought the skill-book?
Yes - Move to the location of the skill book and inject it.
No - Open the market and buy the skillbook. Then move to its location and inject it.

3.) Have you injected the skill-book?
Yes - Open your skillqueue and add the skill to the queue
No - Move to its location and inject the skill-book. Now open your skillqueue and add the skill.

Hope this helps, this is main thing to look for when you are looking for next skills.

thanks that helped.

I just made 15k antimatter charge s ammo. now I only want to take afew hundred with me. how do I unstack the amount I want from the rest?

also: I lost one of my ships. To make my ship hold out better I thought of installing some shield helping module. what is better for a tristan and a newb, a shield booster or a shield repair module? which would you recommend?

Hold shift, click and drag.

Shield boosters are shield rep modules. If you meant shield extender vs shield booster, that depends on what you're doing. Extender gives you more HP right off the bat, while booster lets you take sustained but low damage over long periods of time.

Also, I would recommend against shield tanking most Gallente ships. They fare better armor tanking (especially the Incursus, which just got a massive tank buff today).

ok, will do so. few more things (the game is just so big, got so many questions)

I just got myself a small cruise missile launcher. just noticed while looking for appropiate ammo, that there are also rockets. where is the difference between a rocekt and a missle launcher?

and i just finished all the starting career agents mission. still waiting for eve university to reply to me. what would you recommend me doing until the contact me?

I also got now a tristan frigate and a catylst destroyer. which one should I use for normal missions? the tristan since its cheaper?
