Hangar Inventory Taxes

You dock in a station and decide to unload your ship inventory (some or all) and the station owner charges a tax based upon VOLUME

Taxes could be based on Reputation, Loyalty, Security Status and/or System Security.
A new skill could be integrated or an existing one modified to lessen this tax.
IE: Inventory Control Skill (lessens the tax rate for hangar storage)

Promotes new players to leave 1.0 for less secure systems as taxes would be higher in safer systems.
Promotes new players to join corporations with better reputation standings affecting tax rate savings.
Promotes players to gain Loyalty status rankings running missions for NPC corporations.
Promotes macro-miners to venture into more dangerous systems.
Promotes Player Owned Stations to be able to generate additional and/or Corporation Revenues.

Would only apply to NEW inventory that leaves a cargo bay and is stored or placed in a station Hangar.
Transferring inventory from ship to ship would not be taxed as is does not touch the Hangar "floor".
Does not apply to ships, capsules or drones.
DOES apply to cargo containers. Tax based on Total Container Capacity regardless of use.

Thanks for your time...

Screws over people who don't run missions too. And people who have stuff scattered all over EVE, in systems and stations they can't even access now.

What happens if you can't afford the tax? Is there a minimum threshold? If I have stuff in a station hanger, put it in my hold and take it out again, do I get taxed again? Is it a recurring tax, or a one time thing? How does it affect ships and stuff you keep in the holds? (IE can you dodge it by keeping your stuff in an itty V instead of in the station hanger itself)

Above all,

Why is this a good thing for the game, and how does it improve anything?

This would harm industrial players far more then PVP/Mission runners.

screws anyone who doesn't exclusively fly pvp ships pretty hard,.

Amarr boat mission runners pay less taxes then Gallente, who pay less then caldariwho pay less then minmatar.

why?

Logistics gets screwed.
Any freight services gets nerfed.

Macros already operate in alliance nulls, just there isnt anyone out there to report them.

Great, just what ive always wanted, five hundred Bestowers instead of cans. cause that makes sense.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

EVE only needs a Stupid Tax that takes profit from your skill point count when you lose a ship.

Your ship goes boom...pretty stupid reason to lose it don't you think and a nice -5% reduction in skill points would enforce harsh play to not do it again. Means we don't need clone insurance, since its invalidated everytime you lose your ship but its not recoverable
