I'm wanting to access certain caldari navy agents, but behind my back my caldari state faction standing went to -6, as well as my amarr empire standing. I'd like to return back to these spaces but i havnt a clue how to start gaining rep with them again.

Any help would be appreciated.

Main thing to do is stop killing Amarr and Caldari NPC ships and structures.

Definitely train up Diplomacy to max level asap. Hopefully that will raise those Factions up above -5.00 standing. Then you can start working the Event Agents listed in the Faction Standing Repair Plan. If you've already trained up Diplomacy and are still -5.00 or lower, you'll have to grind missions for a level 1 Amarr or Caldari agent located in friendly space and use storyline missions to get above -5.00 Faction standing.

There is a 'Questions and Comments' thread available which pertains to 'The Plan' linked above.

Heres my advice, I had to do this in order to fly in all faction space to run incursions and this helps ALOT.

http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Data_Centers

basically you fly to the data center which is in space, talk to the agent accept the mission which is bringing him tags in exchange for an instant faction boost.

You will only be able to use the level 1 quality 0 agents I believe but it will give you a nice boost.

The very best way to do these if the Navy are after you is to use a shuttle.

1. Know the agent you need to speak to

2. Warp to data center

3. Talk with agent [will work from any distance]

4. As soon as you talk, initiate warp to station this way you'll know what tags he needs.

5. Dock up and buy tags bang them in cargo hold then undock and warp back to agent.

6. Upon landing at datacenter you have to be fast, talk with agent again and click accept mission then right away click complete mission.

7. Warp away with faction boost

It can be done but the Navy will be on you which is why a shuttle is best for fastest warp ability.

Another question in regards to this, not being much of a mission runner I've found myself in an area where Angel seem to be the local "faction"

Unfortunately due to a few misunderstandings my Angel standings seem to be at -5.89. Now from what I can gather as this is a pirate faction there isn;t any "data" agents way to get a quick boost.

As I'm stuck on lvl 1's although the "angel" corp and agent I'm using seem to have nice standings to me because the faction standing is at -5.89 thats my standing.

Now doing lvl 1's will raise the faction by -0.1 every time I get a storyline but by that rate it seems it will take somewhere is the region of 400 odd lvl 1 missions to get to lvl 2.

I can't believe it should take that amount of silly time so am I missing something? BTW skills and all that have been taken into consideration most social are on 4.

Well the best way to raise standings is to mission if possible for one of Angels friends whom you have a higher standing. I'm sure you know how to check that out?

Every faction has allies which in turn raise your standings to both parties.

I am unsure if the book still exists but "criminal connections" gives you a boost to standings per lvl for pirate factions. Something to look into I think?

You are correct though in that you cannot simply do data center agents to sort out your Pirate standings.

To answer your question about Criminal Connections, yes, it does still exist.

Easiest way -
Join an FW corp on the side you wish to have standing for. Then Defensive Plex.
I had my alt from a negative Caldari standing to over +1.00 with only 2 minor plexes (2 x 10min)
Had access to level 3 FW missions in only 2-3 days.

Joining FW is the fastest way to build faction standing. In your case - Do not run offensive plexes as killing the rats will lower standing with that faction.

I used to do it the hard way then discovered that you can get the same faction standing gain in a week of fw as in 2 years of high sec time wasting.

Really? I've always been under the impression that FW utterly decimated standing with the opposing faction.

Not to mention i cant access caldari or amarr space, which is my issue right now. Sounds like an idea though once i can.

Hmm, do you think Gallente FW will accept me with -9.62 standing?

No?

As an individual, you can't join a militia with negative standings, but you could join a player corporation in the militia. That player corporation has to maintain its positive standing to their faction, but you would not affect that corporation's faction standing for the first week (standings are calculated based on members in the corporation for 7 days). So, assuming you could find (or create with an alt) a player corporation that is in the militia that would take someone with such a negative standing, you could join, get your standings up fast, and then either have your standings up high enough in the first 6 days or resign from that player corp before you adversely hit their corporation standings.

But the standings gain in FW will certainly have derived standings consequences for the positive faction standings you already have. But once at - 1.99 you could go work for level 2 agents, so the overall changes would hopefully be tolerable.

This sounds very interesting, appreciate the info. I'm a bit tired of getting shot at by gal/min popo's, but couldn't make myself go do lvl 1 missions when the standing increase needed is quite large.

I looked at evelopedia and some other guides, but still not sure what defensive plexing is?

Is it chasing away/killing people trying to capture my factions plexes, or is it somehow capturing my own factions plexes?

Work the Faction Standing Repair plan above; I can attest to it working in short order. Took my main from -6.4 to (now) -1.68 fairly quickly.

As a slight tangent, how would one repair standings without tanking them in your original faction. Let's say I want to have 5 or 6 with gallente but be neutral with the caldari?
