No, use Gallente.

Possible exception for T2/3 Cal/Gall ships, but Minmatar drones would still probably be better.

Any exception (purely theoretical) for a shield tanked nano-cane (fast moving)? Supposedly Ammar drones are 2nd fastest and gallente medium drones may lose dps due to lack of speed against a nano cruiser.

A heated nanocane is going ~2000m/s. A max-skilled Hammerhead is going ~2100m/s. That's pretty much ideal, as the Hammerhead is almost always chasing instead of orbiting, which means it's getting pretty much optimal hits all the time.

Hobgoblins are of course faster no matter what. So unless you're talking Ogres, no, there's no advantage to using Amarr drones on a theoretical nanocane.

Amarr / Caldari Combat Drones are barely used.

Minmatar is Explosive strong against Armor / Weak Against Shield while Gallente Thermal is Better against Shields / Okay against Armor.

Amarr is EM strong against Shield / Weak Against Armor while Caldari Kinetic is Better against Armor / Okay against Shields.

I say close the loop and give Amarr combat drones the same stats as Minmatar with EM Damage and Caldari the same stats as Gallente with Kin Damage.

All four would be used.

It's not a nerf to Winmatar drones, just boosting the others to a similar level, seems like a good idea, would make drone boats more versatile with their damage.

In early EvE times, someone at CCP switched the Amarr and Minmatar drone damage modifier. Ever since then, Minmatar and Gallente drones have been the only ones worth flying.

I still see that you are all talk and have yet to contribute a meaningful answer or solution to anyone's thread (and provide a loadout of any such example).

Also what did have to do with this thread? Are you saying that Amarr Combat Drones are in balance with the others?

No, I was merely commenting on your verbiage. However, this topic has been beaten to death before and what was mostly agreed upon was that the game is about more than making numbers line up in a pretty spreadsheet. Simply switching the damage mods between Minmatar and Amarr drones would end up being a net nerf to drones as a whole (and thus Gallente as a whole).

I believe what everyone was in favor of was to have two classes of drones: fast/light, slow/bruiser. There were variations on the theme, of course, and most of them were passable to one degree or another.

Proud Hornet and Dragonfly user here Twisted I use Gallente drones against Sansha and Blood, but for everything else(including PVP) if I can get away with using my beloved Hornets then I will.

I use them... right along with the Amarr, Minmatar and Gallante drones. I'm usually to intoxicated while playing to bother with the rat weakness table, so I just bring a little of everything and know that something] will hit their weak spot.

The main problem about Amarr drones is their damage is not that flexible as the other drones. But I use them extensively in PvE agaisnt EM weak rats.

Also, for any other enemy, Hornets (caldari FTW)
