Hmm....I had a hole in my heart... all I cared about was isk. And, I'd sacrifice anything for it....I'd make haulers beg for the honor of being paid a pittance to carry my precious manufactured goods, I'd have mission runners screaming for more of whatever I made, like drug addicts on crack they wanted more drones - more ships, miners.....ah, I loved tormenting them the most.......oh, you want 2 isk for that trit......how about 1.69? Better sell it to me now or I'll find it somewhere else...

Life was good....until I had a day without work in my game and asked.....am I having fun yet? I was not happy with the answer. I had made a job out of my game! How pitiful can a human being be to pay to play to pretend to work in an effort to please my ego by having more fake money than all the other losers??? really? that's what I was doing?

Oh man.

I sought the doctors, all of them, but they told me ..... there was no medicine. I must fix what is inside. I must look in.

And, I did...I looked in for the hole. And wept because I could not find it.

Finally, my wonderful generous awesome amazing (is that enough?) old corpmates at sephray industries .....they had mercy on my poor soul.

They gave me.....and taught me....how to use a probe scanner!
And I found the hole!

But no...I had a plan..... a devlish plan.... I was going to be a vagabond.....a homeless guy hanging around stations exploring the universe who everyone wants to get rid of because his hulking ship is blocking their view.....and because it is an obelisk....well, let's just say its ugly.

Yes, I'd deal out grief to all ..... and just sit back and enjoy my big ugly palace.

Ah, but that is not the end of the story...far from it....I began to redeem myself.
Not by working....at least not right away.
Not until I realized that even a freighters refrigerator can run empty.

No more yummy gallantian cuisine from the finest cafes.
No more caldarian soda looted from the wreck of a drake.
No more amarrian wine stolen from one of the priests room in one of their temples.
No more mimitarian.....what? I can't stand their stuff.

So, I needed to make isk again.
Simple answer....haul.

I did .... I created Lucky Galactic Hauling.... I posted about it. I hauled and hauled and hauled all over the universe. Some nights making an amazing 60m....other nights making 10M.....in my 1B ship with 1B of collateral. It got....boring.

Wild guessing and ruminations below!

So, pricing, I'm thinking limiting service to gallente high sec only (no islands) and getting rid of per gate/jump fees. Public contracts don't have them....private ones shouldn't require them.

15 jump courier run the same price as 2 jump one.

Instead charge based on:
* How quickly it must be delivered
* How much Collateral
* How big is the cargo
* Any special situations

Tackling Collateral and Cargo Size first - the base fees that make sense to me are:
<200K m3 and <200M collateral = 1.5 M isk fixed price courier fee (min to make job worthwhile)
<450K m3 and <450M collateral = 3.0 M isk fixed price courier fee (reasonable avg)
<700K m3 and <700M collateral = 4.0 M isk fixed price courier fee
<937K m3 and <1B collateral = 5.0 M isk fixed price courier fee (max to stay competitive)

If additional pickups add no more than 2 jump each to the total distance of the direct path from start to end, then support them but discourage with 1M fee per additional pickup - which is still much cheaper than additional contract.

Default contract delivery time frame should be 3 days to handle unforeseen events, but normal delivery time would be under 1 day.....and perhaps frequently - just a few hours.

1/2 M isk discount if pickup or dropoff location contains dodixie or oursulaert (does not get counted twice).

1.5M fee for rushed jobs (e.g. open chat and want immediate transport, moving ahead of all other jobs in queue).

Since the whole premise of the advantage to clients is that I'm dedicated to gallente space and making things fun....going to/from hubs outside gallente space might be needed...but should be heavily discouraged...especially as those add additional jumps I'm not counting...maybe add 3M in those cases. Clients may find it cheaper to use other services for non gallente space.

All jobs would include messages to clients when jobs are picked up and just before they are delivered. I will do my best to always go directly along an optimal path from source to destination once a contract is accepted which would minimize transit time.

And to make it worthwhile.....I'll try to add a post about my adventures each day....you, my prospective clients, could become famous by just sending a mysterious package via my freighter....

Yes, she pretends to be just a very active industrialist but honestly -- two dozen courier contracts all for 900K m3 on the public market? Her activity in the last several months has been astounding...and so many leaving sinq laison. And while many have different destinations, i've seen the pattern....a large number of them ending up on Vay.

Why Vay?

Perhaps there is a secret affair with the L3 Mining Agent Hank Argo? But wait...Hank works for core complexions and core complexions is a mimitar corp...yes, gallente and mimitar are friends and allies, but perhaps there is some kind of inner power struggle going on and RU4Given is a major player?

When transporting certain high value objects via courier contracts, they get transformed into boxes of chocolate or other low value items.

I your case, you transported plex and bpos while my corp was at war and I was under orders not to get ganked.
