Argument for a 30 day skill que...

Author

I live in Hawaii, on the Island of Maui. I'd like to log in once a month, set my skills and log out till the next month so I can spend more time outside doing things.. like surfing, and Wahine Watching. Having to come inside and add a skill every 4-5 days or so is a pain.

So CCP, please extend the skill que to 30 days just to satisfy my whim as we all know I am the most important person in EVE next to Chribba... and a lot sexier to boot.

So CCP Make it so!

Dude.. I live in Hawaii... Beaches. Surf. Women in Bikini's year round (though SOME of them shoulda stayed inside). Of COURSE I maintain a sub just to train.

No.. it takes a minimum of 45 minutes. First I have to drive back to the house from the Beach.. then I have wait for my computer to boot up, and THEN I can change my skills. After which it takes ANOTHER 45 minutes to drive BACK to the beach. It's totally screwing up my beach time man!

I won't say you are stupid, but you're not exactly on the Zombie menu either.

So does any miner who isnt stupid during hulkageddon, why is this a surprise?

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

Like we're supposed to sympathize with the woes of someone living in Hawaii. Tell you what. Have me over to the house for a couple of weeks, and I'll be your crybaby for life.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

Come to Maui. I'd be happy to be a tour guide for ya. However.. you'll have to rent your own place for the time you are here... My place is too small. Anyway. Back to the Beach! Fly Safe all, or have fun splodin stuff if safe isn't in yer vocabulary.

the obvious solution is to only ever add rank 6 skills and higher to your skill queue

npc alts have no opinions worth consideration

…as if the use of the word “beach” wasn't enough of a hint.

EVE players don't go to the beach — too high risk that some environmentalist will think they've beached themselves and call in a rescue team to have them tossed back into the ocean. Blink

Doesn't everyone?

Unlike the OP I can log on pretty much anytime. I can carry my laptop most places as I'm not by a beach. But I enjoy not logging in and I try to plan my skill training around it. But to my annoyance you set a skill to 1,2,3 and hopefully 4 but then you only get 2-4 days peace before having to AGAIN log in and then you get a nice break for a 10+ days.

I have another issue though. I bought a ton of plex and have a small buffer with some assets I can liquidize in Jita then a small ISK buffer. But I will only be able to fuel this account until next April.

I propose that CCP allows us a way to passively generate income in a station while logged off without any real input from us. I do not count trading, (Anyone who says they make billions trading logging in once a day or once a week is a liar and just doesn't want to tell you what a loser they are 1isking all their orders on a second account for hours and hours).

Perhaps you could invest money at a station, or buy a shop keeper (WiS doesn't exist so we can just pretend) and this shopkeeper or series of shopkeepers could earn us 500m ISK a month so we can buy PLEX. This option becomes unavailable if you log in your account for more than an hour a month OR better yet, you gain less money if you log in. So someone who PVE grinds in 0.0 for 8 hours a day will earn 0 from his shopkeepers.

Anyway, CCP please make it so we are not slaves to logging in.
