Loving these podcasts and also all the videos you guys are putting out. Really good stuff thats given me the confidence to throw caution to the wind and get out there.

Went out on my first solo roam this evening and got into this fight on the first jump into null.

I jumped in and decided the best bet was to burn away from the gate, locked up the frigs and forced the slicer and a retribution to warp out in low structure. I then noticed the manticore on my overview and dived back in towards the gang to kill him, not realising how close he was to the drake and getting myself killed

I made tones of mistakes and was shaking slightly from the rush to the extent that it really impaired my piloting ability! Its been a long time since eve gave me that kind of buzz.

Took a thorax on a solo low sec roam the other night, wound up in Amamake after about 40 minutes of trying to get the attention of some FW players in Amarr space with no luck.

Jumped out of Amamake into Golmurogo and encounted a sizeable gate camp; Harbinger, Maller, Hookbill, Pilgrim, Typhoon, Rapier, Ares, Taranis, Stabber Fleet Issue, Dramiel, Cynabal, Sleipnir, Brutix, and a Catalyst.

Sat there in cloak thinking "well this sucks" then drew inspiration from the show and decided I would try to separate them in an effort to kill at least one of them. So I turned on the mwd and burned back to the gate. Sat at 0 and everyone yellow boxed me, but did not get shot at. I aligned to a different gate, several of them aggressed, and I then jumped back into Amamake.

On the other side I wanted to warp to a different celestial but some of the gang's tackle had already jumped in front of me; so I aligned to a different gate on a path which moved me back towards the Golmurogo gate and was immediately tackled and aggressed by everything which had come through. I jumped back into Golmurogo in structure.

Only the Maller and Pilgrim were on grid with me on the other side, so I took the opportunity to warp to a station and repair. None had followed me to the station, so I warped around to all the gates at random ranges from 50-100km then immediately aligned elsewhere as most of their gang followed. I was hoping to get lucky and have something land on top of me, but after 25 minutes without such luck I got impatient.

I warped to the Lulm gate at 0 and saw only a Rapier also at 0 and the Brutix at 50+km. Rather than waiting for them to aggress I made the mistake of jumping right away. Rapier followed, and to suit my bad luck came in only 8km from me and landed scram on me before I could warp off. So I overheated everything and sent the drones out in an effort to take the Rapier down with me, but only got it into armor before this happened: http://eve.battleclinic.com/killboard/killmail.php?id=16420625

Perhaps I will try null sec for my next roam.
