Confirming that Titans are meant to be a solo project

To be fair, that would be a rather fun project just for the sheer size of it…

So i see titans now selling at over 100 bill - some bidding 130bill for travel fit.

The base for these used tobe like 60 bill not long ago, and they have been nerfed sonce then... So how come they have shot up in price, i just dont get it. If they were rare now and was hard to build fine but they are not.

Yeah Rokhs have only gone up 100 mill I don't get why Titans should be so different

Is there ANYTIME Mal you arent being sarcastic? Sorry i dont play eve to check mineral prices...

plus im sorry but a 40 bill price hike is massive you cant compare that to a 100mill hike to a rokh!

So ok why have mins prices risen so much then?

Proportionately, you can totally compare them. AFAIK, a 100m increase for Rokhs is a greater % increase than a 40 bil hike is for a Titan. And if you don't want to know about mineral prices, then you really aren't gonna like most of the answers to your question, because the answer is "mineral prices".

In total: 64 027 772 504 ISK / 46 061 677 M3

Now you might imagine how long it takes to haul and mine 3,5bil tritanium. P

edit: F**k you CCP for not having a code tags or even proper tools for having ordered tables. Evil

Supply & Demand.

This is applicable to the cost of the minerals required to build the ship, too, of course. In fact, it's the key.

The cost of resources to build a Titan has increased, because of Hulkaggedon, changes to drone loot and a few other factors. So, people still want to make them, but they want to make them for a profit. Thus, the base established price increases in order to earn the same profit that they were prior to this increase in mineral costs.

Next, you have the supply and demand ratio of the ship themselves, the demand is likely a bit lower now because they are being nerfed, however; less are being made because of fewer resources so the supply is lower too.

Voila, prices increase. It's not about greed or magic, but rudimentary economics.

My current long-term (2 year) project is to solo build and fly a carrier. While it's a far cry from an actual Titan or Dreadnought, it's still not exactly meant to be used like that. Nonetheless, that's fun. Play the game as you want.

I wonder how long I'll last solo in a carrier. Hopefully more than a day, lol.

Incursions also got nerfed so that is another instance of reduced ISK. Then you have Hulkadeddon.

Like a perfect storm is hitting the ISK area all at once these days

Hulkageddon doesn't seem to have had an substantial influence in mineral prices yet (unless they are supposed to be dropping as hard as the high-ends, but I doubt that). CCP Diagoras' numbers show that the amount of trit/account in EVE is steadily declining, but there must be such an abundance of it on the market and in stockpiles, that the prices remain the same.

Only pyerite is now slowly rising. Perhaps that's Hulkageddon, but it's too little to notice in the prices on the ship market.
