Retribution for small gang PvP.

So I return to game after a year or so and find my Retribution all ****** up (in a good way). Anyone have any fits for retrib now? What changes have their been? I seem to have an extra mid for starters.

While I don't have a fit to offer, I would like to claim all credit for the 2nd midslot addition.

My next project: de-sucking the Legion with a 7th turret.

Retri is pretty good - basically a bigger Slicer. It won't win in a straight up brawl with most AFs, you have to weaken them beforehand at range with Scorch before you "get caught".

Avoid Jaguars/Wolves, but have a crack at any other AF.

Better cap, better EHP, better reps, better speed, same dps as above fit. The thermic plating is dirt cheap. The Retri has got a huge hull, a DC is a must.

Do you know what I hate about these fits? The phrase [Empty High Slot]. What's the point of even having it if you can't fit it? I tried and nothing interesting goes.

Goddess yes, would have much preferred that to the silly midslot even. Why people keep thinking of ships being able to "solo" as mandatory when true solo has been dead for years is beyond me. The fifth gun would have put it in line with the Zealot and made it the ultimate fire support platform for small gangs .. but c'est la vie.

[Empty High Slot] is the heat-sink for overloading the guns .. no need to actually put anything in there as the effect is the same. If you want to niggle then moan about the empty not being in the middle Smile

Hmmmm. Still thinking about this: sig with MWD is 122, without is 35. Even with the bonus still a massive penalty for using it. Prefer an AB? Does the increased speed counteract the increased sig significantly?

So put it in the middle, and you'll get the longest overheat time. Granted rearranging the modules like this only gets you an extra few seconds, but there's literally no downside to doing it so you might as well.
